Shaking off five years of adolecent smoking
For a pretty long time I have been smoking marijuana, occasional tobacco, and periodically using an array of other drugs, including but not limited to, lsd, mushrooms, dextroamphetamine on a regular basis, xtc, and other random opiates and whatnot.
This all started from a pretty young age, about 12. Ok, now I have arranged to leave home in one month and move up north for 6-7 months to do a school program, where there will be no possibility for substance use. In the next month how should I wean myself into a healthier lifestyle?

Age 12? Shit man.
Most people who start around then never give it up.
It's all gonna be a matter of will power man.
What I do is I don't think about it. I think about something else and instead of constantly thinking about smoking it constantly thinking about that chicks ass or tits. It worked for me. Even If I'm sorta of a perv now.

OT: Any changes in your vocal quality and speaking tone after all that?

Weaning yourself off drugs is a bad idea. It gets too complicated and you tend to cheat a lot.
Cold turkey is the best way to do it. Just make sure you keep yourself busy for the first week. After that it gets easier.
And make sure your friends know what you're doing so they don't tempt you.

Very intelligent post. Also, about the friends thing, unless there is any of them that are your BEST friend that youre with all the time, and hangs out with you even when youre not doing anything drug related, then ditch them all, and make new ones. Just the fact that they're around you will influence you, trust me I know what I'm talking about, I have recently stopped doin shit like that and being around them makes it harder.

I wouldn't ditch them permanently, but certainly stay away from them for a while. It's all about will power.
When I quit smoking (tobacco), I was constantly on edge. I sort of redirected that energy into swimming, lifting weights, physical work, etc. By the end of the day I was too tired to want anything but sleep. I'm not saying this works for everybody, but it did for me.
It sounds like you don't want to give up this lifestyle, but rather are being forced into leaving it behind. Because you're quitting against your will, it might be harder to quit than if you wanted to stop. Then again, there's always the fact that you can't (or at least it seems impractical) to be living the good life considering your future living arrangements.
Perhaps I should wipe my ass before I talk out of it.
