Default Disturbing Movies

Good morning totse,
I remember watching horror movies since I was a small child, it actually used to be my favorite genre back then. But as I get older I simply hate them. I no longer get that feeling I used to get so I was wondering if anybody here could recommend me some good horror/disturbing movies that you thought were pretty good.

I don't really care if it's gory or not, I actually ate dinner while in the middle of watching saw 3 yesterday and didn't even wince. Actually I thought the saw movies were pretty shitty and all the same. I have also watched other movies that were supposedly "extremely frightening and gory" by friends and the media only to leave disappointed.

So can anybody recommend me some horror/disturbing movies that are actually worthwhile. thanks guys

Is this some fucking joke? You come to Totse, looking for recommendations of disturbing movies, then you have the nerve to mention something as mainstream as Saw 3?

Movies released in theaters and pretty much any movie found in your local blockbuster are SHIT as far as "disturbing".

Disturbing and Horror are not in the same league for the most part. Some of the most disturbing movies are documentaries with no limits. You are listening to what the media tells you is scary? The media is for 6 year olds who still piss their beds, which from your post you sound like you may be.

Fuck. You have no idea how much you have pissed me off. Bragging about eating dinner while watching Saw 3. I want to fucking explode I am so full of anger. Saw 3 FFS! Might as well mention how you didn't jump one time while watching The Lion King.

ok mr movie guru, didn't mean to piss you off or come off as bragging but its just that all my friends recommended those saw movies but they pissed me off.

Plus you could have insulted me AND recommended something, street.

I love angry people

Session 9.

I cannot really explain it without spoilers, but this movie was creepy as hell with little violence. Quick setting: A crew of guys go to a shut down insane asylum to decontaminate it of asbestos before it is demolished. One of the workers finds a series of reel to reel audio recordings in one of the rooms and reveals a disturbing interview/treatment of a mental patient.

You wanna see something disturbing?
See Visitor Q.
Not a horror movie by conventional means, just a tale of a family, and a man who visits them on fateful day.

Shit, I remeber when I was younger, when the Blair Witch Project was new, It was the best.

I had never heard of it. So my friend brings over this bootleg tape of it, which added to the whole documentary-esque, amateur feel of it. He had already seen it and stopped the video before credits rolled or anything. I was young and naive, and I could have sworn to god the film was a real bootleg he had found.

I didn't sleep properly for ages. For a couple weeks there, I was infatuated with it. Then some dickface had to go and ruin my fun by telling me it was just a flick was just that...a hollywood flick (or whatever). I was relieved and sad at the same time.

I'd say that Requiem for a Dream is fairly disturbing.
