I've been dating this girl for about 3 weeks now and I can say that we are more familiar and comfortable with each other than friends. We call each other every night, talk about our plans, flirt, etc.

I was just watching Spiderman 3 with her last night, and I decided that I should hold her hands (we've done it before), and then she gave me an impression that she wasn't comfortable, so I asked her about it and she preferred not to. We've never kissed.

I told her on the phone today that I felt she was pushing me away. She ultimately told me that she wanted to take everything slow and isn't looking for a relationship yet. Part of the reason was that she had learned from her last relationship that she should be slower and cautious.

I feel even awkward to talk to her now. I haven't talked to her yet from that last phone call, and I can tell our next conversation is going to be nerve-wracking.

Any advice, guys?

tell her if she doesn't feel comfortable holding hands yet, it's fine. I know that type of girl, who acts innocent. Anyways, give it another week, maybe steal a kiss, she'll probably be mad at first, but end up forgiving you. After that, holding hands won't seem like a big deal. Good luck.
