A present from me to you: Rocket Simulation software
I have finally bought and packaged Rocksim 8.01 which is the rocket simulation software i used in the horizontal rocket project you honestly can do EVERYTHING with this .. if you can not figure out how to sime a rocket of your choice let me know i will show you how i have built and simed all my rockets here they will tell you how to improve it and show you 3D models of it as you build it you can cluster build custom parts you can do anythign really I have included alot of RCK files with it these are designs of common rockets out there in kits ..
To be honest im not going to show pics or describe it's awesomeness in detail some of you already have it because i leaked it a bit early
Keep in mind this is being posted on totse with a vaild volume agreement i have legitimately purchased and i modified the key as to not give away who i am ..
I freely welcome redistribution it has never been released to the best of my knowledge anywhere before as i have searched and searched and searched ..
A few key point that i wish to say are
READ THE README.txt
This installer unpacks a diffrent installer then the readme.txt comes up actually fucking maximize this and read it
Simply read the readme.txt then close it the install will finish you will open rock sim you simply fill in the form with YOUR INFORMATION then click next and click read liscene file you then click the liscene we have packed with it (it will be on your desktop in a folder called Rocksim8)
Just wanted to give a big hand to my senior tech who was able to build the installer the way i asked him to and skin it nicely for me i really appreciate it .. Andrew does not get enough credit were it is needed
now for the link
this was hosted by a friend of mine who i will not identify as they are a member here as well if they wish to post they can
http://www.gettgp.com/content//.warweed//RockSim8.exe
A mirror:
http://irishpyro.com/RockSim8.exe
I need more people to host this please.. the more the better as once you play with you will agree it is a orgasmic program
Please post your Reveiws
You can set Environmental Controls

Create custom fin sets so you can do more then straight edge trapazoid style fins
http://i14.tinypic.com/4kvx4rl.png

Re: A present from me to you
well since i owe warweed a review for letting me have this early here it is:
This program kicks ass. You can build a custom rocket from a database of custom parts that is well in the dozens of choices for each part. Now, if you think it's a mix and match deal, just wait. Not only can you tweek the size of the body to a 1/10th of an inch, you can even make the nose cone the perfect size, and shape to your needs.
Now, once your rocket is built, you can launch it off, and see what it can do. This too is made to be used and abused! you can add wind, rain, any weather you can really think of. This will use the data to see how far you have to walk when it lands, how high it will go, and ect.
Now, warweed told me you can print a blueprint like sheet out to make sure you have a rocket, that is an exact copy of the one in a program.
overall, i give this my "omgwtf this owns" award.

Re: A present from me to you
FYI not only can you build from a custom parts but you can pick from a LARGE number of material types for your Airframe your nose cone you fins everything you can add parachutes you can add engines you can hit print after you have built and designed it all and you can print off either parts lists from distributors you can click print and it will ask if you wish to print parts lists 3d designs you can select templates and print templats for the sizes of your nose cones and fine templates with nothcing if you choose to do through wall instead of suface mounts you can print out motor mount templates ect

Re: A present from me to you: Rocket Simulation software
This program is amazing. There are simply too many features to cover in one post on totse, so I'll only mention some of my favorites.
Firstly, the ability to design schematics and 3D models of your rocket is greatly useful. All schematics can be scaled and printed as templates for machining. The 3D construction allows drag calculations to be simulated before a physical model is ever made.
Secondly, the ability to chose construction materials and engines allows you to calculate the total weight of the rocket, as well as that of individual segments.
Lastly, I'd like to bring attention to the simulation feature. It's simply mind blowing, try playing around with the weight of your rocket and see how it affects flight dynamics.

Thanks for the reveiw once i have a few more of them i will package your reveiws into the installer itself i will not make it open like the readme.txt but it will place it in the folder on desktop no one commented on my Splash screen or the cool ASCII art we made

I installed it and whenever i tried to add a component it said it could not read the materials.cvs, I the uninstalled it from program menu, went to your installer and tried to remove but it fugged up and said it could not do anything. I tried to click repair but it said a big fuck you error error blah blah blah, i deleted the folder in the program menu but its still the same.

Re: A present from me to you: Rocket Simulation software
Yes a Fix is being made to correct this issue were not quite sure what is causing the problem ..
What OS are you running ? as well basic stats IE processor speed and Ram and HD space / remaining free
as well if you could check
C:\Program Files\RockSim 8\Data
and just tell me if you can find the Materials.CSV
if it is there let me know if not i will try and make a much better Installer when i have a chance ATM this one basically takes the Roc Sim installer and packages it with my infomation there is a problem with the remove script as we built some VB in there that pretty much loads the roc sim installer in a temp folder then once that installer has been installed the VB removes it causing some errors in the uninstaller i found you can correct this issue of uninstal but you have to run the roc sim uninstall then goto control panel and click our installer and click remove in add/remove programs...
When we purchase a legal version of install shield we shall make a *updater*
to allow for New things to be added

Re: A present from me to you: Rocket Simulation software
all well and good this orgasmic rocket sim program, but it still didn't tell me that the rocket would end up embedded in my best friends neighbours window.

Re: A present from me to you: Rocket Simulation software
it does have a wind speed and enviroment control factor plus i tend to think the fault lies in the creator as i have simed rockets to close to 15 feet alt. wise and 30 in touch down

I need more people to host this please.. the more the better as once you play with you will agree it is a orgasmic program
Please post your Reveiws
You can set Environmental Controls

Create custom fin sets so you can do more then straight edge trapazoid style fins
http://i14.tinypic.com/4kvx4rl.png
you can do real time animated launch profiles showing ejection charges and if you set cross winds it will blow arounds and such

3D real time profiling

Set simulation profiles such things as the engine you want
