SpiderMan 3 - Not what I was expecting
I caught an advance screening of Spiderman 3 at midnight, let me just say, worst movie i've watched in years. Was this supposed to be a comedy? The whole audience was laughing throughout the movie, in scenes that were not meant to be funny. What is up with the 10 minute dance scene, the corny lines, the way Parker is with the ladies? What the hell? And someone explain to me why Tobey McGuire got so fat? Or why Kirsten Dunst is a millionaire but doesn't have a good pair of chompers(teeth)? Topher, was in no way even necessary to be in the movie. This movie for me was a 4/10

Re: SpiderMan 3 - Not what I was expecting
i never thought the first two were that great. the 3rd one only looks cool because venom is involved. is he even in the movie? i heard rumors it was just a build up to 4 and he wasnt actually going to be in the movie for more than a few seconds at the very end.
i think the only time ill pay to go see a spiderman movie is if its going to have carnage as the villian. he was bad ass.

Re: SpiderMan 3 - Not what I was expecting
I'll see it on video, but the only review I have seen was tepid, the main weaknesses being sheer sequel bloat (three villains), and the fact that the film was mostly economically-driven.
The first one was risky art--the third one was mostly for the money.

Re: SpiderMan 3 - Not what I was expecting
The OP pretty much nailed it.
I think he's being too generous though in his rating. But yeah, nothing I can disagree with in the original post.
I will say this though, the scene where Peter smacks Mary Jane is one of the funniest things I've ever seen. The entire theater literally gasped(I saw it this afternoon so naturally my brother and myself are the only people in the audience between the ages of 15-20). I spent the next few minutes after that scene making sexist jokes and "smacka bitch" jokes. Good stuff.

Re: SpiderMan 3 - Not what I was expecting
Don't know what you folk are talking about, the ladies man spiderman was the best part of that film. Not because it was great but because the movie in general wasn't. It had funny moments when I wasn't expecting a comedy and it didn't have the action that I hoped for. The limited Venom that was in it was nice with a decent look but he was truly only there briefly.
Major Spoiler!
You should be expecting spoilers considering the title of the thread but just so I don't suprise
I actually liked the "New Goblin" and Spiderman team up at the end but another one ending in a funeral and the cliché realization between Sandman and Pete sucked.
6/10 and that's on the extremely genorous side. That's considering all the emo and don't cross spiderman (after the bitch slap) jokes that were said by the audience.

Re: SpiderMan 3 - Not what I was expecting
I hated the first Spider-Man movies but I actually enjoyed this one. My only complants were that Venom was only in the movie for like 30 mins and the whole "emo" Peter Parker thing was silly. I give it a 6/10.

Re: SpiderMan 3 - Not what I was expecting
Sheer Cheese. Tell me that they couldn't have made a REALLY good movie with the plot of spiderman 3, a retard could've done it.
Should've been alot more drama and less over the top comedy
