Default advice on breaking up

So I've decided to end the first real relationship I've ever had. I'm not angry or anything at this girl its just she lives an hour away from me and well shes really prude too. So I need some advice, I mean I don't want to hurt her. and any other suggestions you might have.

Just be honest with her. Tell her the relationship isn't working out for you and it'll be better if you guys saw different people.

Be firm, but gentle.

Tell her it is time to move on. Don't use that "it's me not you" bullshit. Just tell her you want a more accessable girlfriend, and she lives too far for it to progress anymore. She might be hurt, but at least you did it as nicely and honestly as you could.

Hey, I don't want to date anymore. No need for questions. That's how I feel, neither you nor I can change that. Sorry.

P.S. Don't call, thanks.

well I did it and at first I was sad but now I'm just pissed that her friends are trying to guilt trip me. So my main problem was this:

If I make you the happiest person in the world then fucking tell me!! I'm not just doing this to get NOTHING out of it. I WANT SOMETHING IN RETURN!!!

Once again Totse thank you for letting me vent

Power to you dude.

Just smile at her friends, and say something like "well, I'm free now - you want a ride for a while?". They can't really keep up their blackmail if you are blatently hitting on them..

Who knows - mabey one of them liked you.....
