Default Good deal on kno3?

http://tinyurl.com/29wcw5

2.5kg tub for £7.50. After VAT, P&P etc it amounts to £13.37. So thats around 55p per 100 gram I think.

In USD, including P&P, VAT etc, for 100g it would be..
$1.10.
For the full 2.5kg, it would be...$26.64

In the UK buying potassium nitrate is a pain in the ass, so what do you guys think of the price?

The only other site I have been able to find is:
www.hobbychem.co.uk and their prices are some of the worst I have seen. They have the best selection I can find - for the UK- but the prices....jeez. I get my fuses from there. Not bad for them I suppose.

£6.70 for 5m of visco safety fuse delivered to your door.

Please dont post sources directly.

Yes, that is a good price for UK. Im UK too.

Its not 55p a gram, It's half a p a gram.

Hobbychem are a bit over priced but they seem to have a wide range of chems and you are assured on its purity, whereas that scobies site you are not, Although it probably will be pretty pure.

I've managed to find a good amount of sources, however none that sell 25kg for a reasonable price. All the prices seem a bit stupid, so I don't particularly want to pay that much for it. I did find one site that I am considering using, £5 for 200g delivered to your door. Either that or the 2.5kg tub.

I know you are not supposed to direct link to sites, however I would greatly appreciate it if you told me your source for the 25kg bags.

I understand if you don't want to tell me, but it would be helping be out allot.

Also, when I was researching through some cookery websites I read that saltpeter goes under the same name as an ingredient in Indian cooking called "kala nimak".

Did a little reading into this and it looks very doubtful, but does anyone have any knowledge of this? For the price of it, even if it wasn't the strongest....it may be worth buying a little bag for experimental purposes.

thanks for the help

What do you mean you buy it from a pharmacy, do they even sell that sort of thing? Around here in the US pharmacies sell prepackaged meds, and only that. How does the KNO3 come packaged from the pharmacy, does it have a brand name? How do you ask for it, around here you'd just get a confused look while they search for it and find nothing.

They sell sulfur, first aid supplies, often other goodies... where do you shop?
