Moral Dilemna
First of all, sorry in advance if this is in the wrong forum, im kinda at a loss as to where i would put this, and since it has to deal with the relationship between me and a couple friends (not a sexual relationship lol) i figured it might go here.
Anyway... where should i start.. uh alright, my good friend, who we'll call E, lives (or should i say lived?) with 2 roommates who are in the process of kicking him out.
Now, they told him they wanted him out of the house by this weekend (IE:coming saturday) since hes only at that house on the weekend (job in a different city) its kinda hard for him, but he said he would move all his shit out on the weekend.
Now, a couple days ago, i hear from a friend of mine, that the 2 roomates who kicked him out, got a few friends together, got all his stuff together and tossed it onto the front yard. Including 4 VERY expensives bass' 2 acoustic guitars (including a handmade acoustic his grandfather made(which also, was destroyed by someone trying to mimic nirvana)) and a 50 year old nikon camera that was passed down to him by his dead grandfather.
Now, all the mentioned stuff was stolen. When i heard about what happend, i called my friend right away and told him his stuff was on the front lawn, and i gave him the name of the guy who told me it was. Now, i didnt know all that stuff was stolen, i didn't know they had pissed all over his clothes, bed, dressers, (remaining) guitars and his record collection(think records from the 50's 60' and 70's over 200 of them, in mint condition, all pissed on).
Now my friend E wants to know more about the person who told me, the thing is, im good friends with them both, i dont know what to do, i told him the info in the beggining thinking his stuff was at risk of being stolen, not broken, pissed and shit on. On one hand, i just wanna give E more info on the guy who told me, just so he can get his ass beat, cause he honestly deserves it for this, but me and that other guy go way back, way longer then me and E, i don't know what the fuck to do.
Advice? Flames? sure?

Re: Moral Dilemna
Wait so the friend who told you the stuff was on the lawn, why would he get his ass kicked.
I don't really understand what happened, but I do know that the guys who did all that shit to E need to get their ass beat. Even IF you go way back with them, they need to get their ass beat as a life lesson.

Re: Moral Dilemna
Yeah, kicking somebody out of a place is one thing, but pissing on their belongings then leaving them outside to be stolen, especially expencive/things with sentinmental values is another.
That's fucked up.
I wouldn't be surprised if friend E robbed their asses.

i say your friend "E" get revenge, if he still has the key to the place. or he should just break in and take their shit, or piss over it.

That is, your friend E did nothing wrong and should get the name. The other guy's a dickhead.

Re: Moral Dilemna
Guy deserves the ass beating. Id tell your friend who fucked his shit up and let him dispense justice as he sees fit. What they did to his shit was INEXCUSABLE no matter what the circumstances were. Hell, id help your friend "E" kick the ever loving shit out of the others.

Re: Moral Dilemna
That's some fucked up shit. Just tell "E" who it was so he can file a lawsuit or something. I know that seems pussy but by resorting to violence and getting yourself in trouble over material possessions isn't worth it.

Re: Moral Dilemna
^^
I agree with this guy.
Your friend 'e' has every right to take those fuckers to court. They gave him no warning that they were chucking his stuff out, and intentional damage to private property carries quite a hefty fine on it.
If he succeeds, they will have to pay him compensation, which wont replace stuff sentimentally, but it's a start.
Whereas, if he just hurts them,he'll be the one in trouble, regardless of the disgusting shit your 'friends' did to him.
Why are you friends with such pathetic people? Why do you even feel obliged to protect them?
Unless there's some underlying reason as to why they did this shit to 'e'? I cant imagine someone getting that amount of revenge and causing that much damage unless there was a pretty serious fucking reason.

Re: Moral Dilemna
1. E should beat the fuck out of both of them
2. E should then steal everything they've got

There's two ways to settle this. One is taking them to court, trying to get as much money as you can, and crippling the fucks financially.
The other method involves pipe bombs, arson, and murder. I'd got with this one, just because if anybody pissed on something my grandfather made, they're going to be losing a lot of teeth.

Re: Moral Dilemna
Get your mate to talk to a lawer, and get some advice.
If he's likely to get money for the property, and damages, and personal grief and stuff then he should go the legal route.
If there are mitigating circumstances, or the lawer just says nothing will happen to them, then they deserve a severe beating, and they both need to compensate your friend - either with money, or posessions, or both.
But check with a lawyer first.

i totally agree with jack on this, how would you feel if someone did this to you and no one, not even your best friend, told you about who/what happened?

Re: Moral Dilemna
Why was he being tossed from the place?
You already told him the guy's name, that's already done. I would say that it's his responsibility from there. It's not your place to step in, unless you choose.
