Has anyone else noticed the insincere friendships that are made to wipe one's conscience clear of things like homophobia or racism? I am not making a broad sweeping generalization that gays and blacks only have friends for those reasons. But has anyone else noticed things like this happening?

I think the idea of having affirmative action friends is kind of sad.

hmmm,i cant say that i have ever been friends with someone for any of those reasons...skin tone/sexual orientation/religion they have never been a reason not to be friends with someone for me.
