Hacked paypal account with $1500
Swim has access to a hacked paypal account, but doesn't know a good way to get the money out.
He thought about buying an item off eBay and arranging for local pickup, but was hoping there was something better to do with it. As it stands he might try to sell the user name and password for cash (not over the internet) and let somone else take a crack at it.
Anyone have any ideas?
If a seller was paid with a stolen paypal account, and lost his item, would he have to give the money back?

Just buy something on Ebay, or another site that accepts PayPal.

Re: Hacked paypal account with $1500
I believe Pay-Pal protects the buyer up to $1000. Hey, think you could send me some money, and then I could send it to your account? I can set up an ebay auction, and set up the buy it now for whatever price you want. Then you just bid on it, and pay-pal me the money.

Re: Hacked paypal account with $1500
Does swim know the person who ownsthe acount? Personally dealing with that kind of money i would keep a couple of hundred and leave it, but it depends how shady your feeling.
Whoever sends you the money by paypal, theres a good chance it will be tracked so if you go that route at least use a proxy. Im not sure how but ive heard you can buy egold with paypal, maybe that's your best option so paypal have less control over it?

Post iin my PayPal thread from now on, but anywho, PayPal has recently started this sort of Auto Red Flag thing, where payments over a certain amount, we have yet to figure what the EXACT amount is, but we got auto red flagged for $550, unless you can have steady access to the account to tell PayPal everything is all right.

Mine got flagged with 380 bucks but I had just created the account and sent all the money to one account.
Try sending installments of 100 to a bunch of accounts, in your case 15 accounts, and eventually send all the 100's to one last account then transfer to your own real account.

Re: Hacked paypal account with $1500
Mix in small bullshit with everything else. It probably graphs purchase history and auto flags extreme deviations with the acceptable divergance on a inverted curve as the amount gets higher. Small purchases will bring the amount curve back towards center, and so will avoiding spending more than twice of average in a given time frame.
Keep you spending amounts and frequency relatively close to their past buying patterns and you'll be fine.
On the small bullshit you do to counter the large ones, mix in some similar ones they normally would make in category.
Someone who buys lots of antiques and vases should get an antique toy every third purchase to counter the sudden rush of consumer electronics.
Think like the computer trying to spot suspicious behavior.
