Is it worth my time? (ex-gf)
So, long story short, I dated this girl for like 3-4 years. We were inseperable, typical love of my life type story.
Anyway, it ended abruptly, we talked a few times since. One conversation we had, we had really connected like maybe we would be friends again. She opened up to me (something she does for no one), told me a bunch of things and then we basically ended the conversation with her saying "i can't see myself down the road without us at least talking, i will talk to you again soon."
Now, all along I've felt that it would pretty much be for the best that we just never talk again, because as much as I get over her, when we begin talking again I realize how much I miss what we had (not her).
It has really been bothering me lately why she would pour her heart out to me like that, tell me she doesn't want to stop talking and that i'm important to her and all that, with real sincerity, and then never make contact again.
What are your feelings on me confronting her about it? I know this is a pretty silly thread, but damn does it bother me. I just want to know why she lied, the prospect of being her friend is not any motivation of mine.

well man i would give it one more go. I mean you never know what you dont try so why not. If it dosent work out than thats that. Try something else, tell her that you dont feel comfortable with her telling you deep things because you dont feel as if you have a speccial relationship

Depending on how bad you want her, I say identify where you fucked up, repair, and re-enter.
Now, do you have any idea what sparked the abrupt end?

Four years is a long time.
If theres no chance of repairing your relationship, then it is unlikely that the friendship will be any good for you.

That's not true, a friendship could have long-lasting benefits. It could also have long-lasting consequences. Really, this looks like a coin-flip decision, but always try to make the positive decision.

Some people aren't worth keeping in your life.
I'd say that she probably cares about you and it's easier for her to move forward in her life without you as a regular fixture.

Re: Is it worth my time? (ex-gf)
Damn, I am surprised. I was expecting a lot of discouragement here. I am still really indecisive about the entire thing.
I don't think dating is an option anymore, and the only thing I am really interested in doing with her are couple things. Being around her would just make me want to do something couples do, and it would just hurt me if anything because we can't.
