So, I've recently come to terms that people don't like me.

I'm an attractive, smart, funny, outgoing guy with a lot of great artistic qualities; I'm an asshole to everyone, I'm constantly condescending, and I'm self-loathing. Now, though my positive traits would normally outweigh my negative traits I forget that people don't like being talked down to. I tend to talk down to people all the time

I logged on today, and I've pretty much realized that it is no coincidence that I haven't been making friends. Most of the time I'll insult people right to their face, sometimes they don't realize it but most of the time they do. Perhaps that is why I'm not making friends. I'm not willing to sacrifice who I am to meet people, but I would like to be able to make friends worth a damn. The friends I used to have and I got along solely on the fact that we loved to insult each-other.

I have a flat head and most of the time my friends joked about me being gay because I loved art and poetry. I made fun of them for not being able to get laid. One of them was fat and slobbish, the other was about a chromosome away from being carrot top. Now, I can't joke around with someone about their looks, personality, etc. I can only sit by and wait for someone who loves insults as much as I do.

This isn't really a question, more of a rant. Tell me what you think about me.

It's one thing to joke around and insult your good friends. It's another thing to insult people that might have been your friends if you weren't such a prick. :p

If you're buddies with someone, they'll know you're just kidding. But to someone who doesn't know you well, you'll just come off as an asshole, even if you insult them in a joking manner.

So yeah, I guess you'll have to get used to spending a lot of time alone, if you can't hold back on being a jerk long enough for people to like you.

have you ever tried being icer to people you just met so they won't think you're a complete ass? I don't have alot of friends either because people think i'm mean but the friends i do have are decent. we rag on each other all the time.

I'm like you, but to a lesser extent. I don't feel the need to find every flaw people have and point it out to them, yet I am brutally honest when I think I need to be. Mind you, that's not all too often. But I won't lie to somebody to make them feel better instantaneously when I know that it will only hurt them not to know the truth in the future.
You would love my friend Ilana. She enjoys nothing more than an insult contest, and she usually comes out victorious. If only she weren't such a fucking obnoxious woman, she would be great.

Yeah, I'm in a similar situation as you. I just can't seem to see why people think I'm such an asshole.

I am kind of condescending at times, and I do tend to judge people even more, but I personally think all of it is well warrented.

I don't have many friends, but if I have to change to get more, then fuck that.

Until someone see's through my asshole exterior, and realises I'm actually really awesome, and tend to try to help alot of people, one way or another, then I'll keep to myself.

I mean, really, if they can't take a joke, then how are they gonna do in the real world?

Anyways what i really meant was, there is nothing wrong with you. To them you just go to a more personal level. But what they don't seem to realize is, making fun of you for the things you do hurts you just as much as it would them if you told them they don't or cannot get laid.

All in all people need to lighten up a bit, especially if you just dont come out and insult them.

I think everyone is part of a plot which will contribute and/or bring about my downfall, therefore I am constantly on edge around people.

I can be really 'dry' with my sense of humour and some people don't know if i'm joking or not. But because of this, I can pretty much insult anyone to their face.

I play mind games a lot, I can really get someone wound up just by usually replying with a one word answer, or not even at all.

I seemed an outcast at college, despite people thinking I was popular.

I'd rather smoke a cigar and read some Edgar Allen Poe over sex.

And yeah, I can be really creative - I imagine my life is being made into a film, and a camera is constantly following me. I always try to think of the best angles and music to go to my life.

addition - I remember when I referred to my ex girlfriend as 'Juvenile' over her behaviour when she was drunk, and she didn't speak to me for 3 days...just because I used one big word
