Re: prom?
You don't feel like going? What the hell kind of reason is that?
I went to prom with a girl I like, it didn't work out, but you know what? I enjoyed the evening anyway, even if i spent three hundred fucking dollars and didn't get any ass. Just ask her and enjoy it.

Whatever...My Jewish side has been put back to sleep.

Re: prom?
If you don't want to go then don't. They aren't really going to kick your ass.

Yeah... there's a thread (http://www.totse.com/community/showthread.php?t=1999667) about it, if you care.
Let's see.
Tuxedo: $120
Prom ticket: $55
Dinner for two: $34
Corsage: $28
Party bus: $72
Yup, $309. Hah. Shit. :(
Yeah, on second thought, don't fucking bother.

Re: prom?
i remember when i went to prom. (2006)
tux - 200 (i got a whole outfit with hat cane and gloves and the whole sha-bang-a-bang
gas - 50 (we didnt take a limo or anything cause i have a nice ass truck but a bunch of us went as a group just everyone drove separate, we had another couple in my truck)
car wash and detailing - 40
corsage - 30
dinner - 100
alcohol -150
E - 100
tickets - 100
hotel - 130
getting ditched at the prom by the girl that asked you, when you had graduated from that school the previous year so you really arent friends with a whole lot of people there - priceless
900 roughly, the hotel made the night worth it. cause i ended up inviting some of my buddies over since the girl wasnt with me. we all got fucked up beyond belief, but sadly no ass :-(

Re: prom?
So don't go. I didn't go to prom because my school was fucking ghetto. It's over-rated anyway.
I'm sure though, if you do go, you'll have fun. Take a few shots before you go, the after-parties will be alright and you might get some. It might be somewhat entertaining.

Re: prom?
Fuckin' go.
That's what happened last year to me. Didn't have a date, all my buddies were going, and I didn't know if I was going or not.
THEN, my buddies told me I should ask this hot girl 'cuz she wants to go w me. I didn't have the balls to do it, and kept planning to do it until she asked me. And I told her I was just about to ask her blah blah blah.
Prom only comes in highshool. You mine aswell enjoy it. How do you know that you're not going to like it if you don't go? You have to put yourself in uncomfortable places in order to grow. Fuck man, I've had to learn that too. I mean, you have to go outside your security 'blanket'.
Trust me, you'll have fun. And don't listen to anybody on totse. Hell, don't listen to me. Talk to your friends, talk to yourself, and make the decesion. There's no right or wrong one, but there are regrets.

Re: prom?
Prom only comes in highshool. .
actually thats not entirely true. a local radio station in my area does "2nd chance prom" every year. i havent gone but i'm definately going next year cause i'll be 21, and able to drink
and to jojabr i can laugh at it now, cause i have grown as an adult and i have learned on more than one occasion that stupid bitches will do stupid shit and fuck you over. i just decided not to let it get to me.

Re: prom?
blahlah, prom was planned specially in year eleven this year, but got cancelled because the year was at war over it.
school i'm moving to used to have a prom is year 13, but got stopped because of kids fucking their dates in the toilets.
blahlahlah no prom for me, but i don't really mind. my class are having a party at the end of the year, just 'cause so many of us are moving to other schools, about a quater or more.

Re: prom?
HaHa....... Americans donchya jus luv em!
For $300 down the Railton Road in Brixton you could get more "ass" than at a donkey derby in Blackpool.
Although I wouldn't reccomend it as the chances are it would be you "ass" being offered up for sale.

Re: prom?
Okay I skipped over the being new part.
Well, if you are not worried about your reputation and sex life and social life and everything, you think you can handle that then dont go. Otherwise, I suggest you go, as it will warm you up very nicely to everyone.

Amor Victoria
a quaint little italian resturant in the heart of Minneapolis. my spaghetti dinner alone was 65. but it was the best i have ever had. and we got private seating too. in the downstairs with candels and a real italian feel, it was wonderful

Re: prom?
Oh. I guess that's not uncommon in bigger cities. But seeing how the most expensive restaurant in my small city of 24,000 is the steak house.
