I posted a while back about my gf and how I didnt know how she would react to going further. Im fucking sick of this shit. she is a brick wall and i cant get through it. She opens up like once in never. So fucking annoying i dont want to give up on her but i dont see what i can do if she cant open up at all. I dont want to not be with her but im so pist at her attitude right now i could just punch her.(if she wasn't a girl) Anyone had this kind of problem. How do you take down an emotional brick wall without destroying whats behind it. sorry for my lack of proper grammar but i dont care right now. advice?

I'm going to say this once, and once only.

I am assuming for a moment, that you're in a real relationship, and not one of those middle school things where you run around giggling to your friends that you have a girlfriend.

There are two main reasons why a woman won't open up to the guy she's dating.

One is that she's not comfortable with it. This can be caused by anything from the guy pushing to hard, to not showing enough interest. Of course, there's the 'are you mature enough to deal with it reasonably' part, or the 'doesn't trust you with her secrets' part.

The second option is far too common, and a little disturbing. Women who have been abused, molested, or raped have one hell of a time opening up to anybody. Twice I've been through that gauntlet with a woman, and it can be a heart wrenching soul draining experience. It takes a deft touch, a lot of caring and being there, and more patience than you would imagine possible to get a woman to open up in that case. And by patience, I mean that I, and other's I've talked to, have experienced up to, and over a year to get there. Once those flood gates are open though, the trick is to not run, or close your eyes, stick your fingers in your ears, and go LALALALALA!!

For everyone's sake, let's hope it's not option #2.
