I've just admitted this someone...I'm in a small town and I am popular here (may as well make it clear I get along with most people wherever I go), I know everyone here say 17-18 years and above. I am in a contract at work, no leaving for at least about 2 years...AT LEAST. Yes it does suck, there's no need to point that out.

Although I do get along with the girls here, I could never have anything more then the friendship we have, I just know too much about them to keep away from it :p

I've met some 'perfect match' girls online from areas not too far from here but usually allow them to fizzle out as I can't move for them, I'm not the selfish person to ask them to move for me or have them wait it out til I could move to them. I also wouldn't let them stay online you know, when they could have something out there for them.

So what is there for me? I mean I see two things which are putting up with this shit until I can move to somewhere better, or getting lucky and having someone new move to town that "works"

If you don't see any options, you may just have to ride out your two year contract. If that's the case, then remember to save money and be ready to move on when your contract expires.

Anyways, to answer your question: I dated a girl in Boston over the internet on and off for the past five years. She's pretty much my life-ish. I do love her, as weird as that sounds. I've never gotten then chance to express myself physically, but in the next two years we'll be moving out to Colorado together. Most of the time they work.

I meant wanting them to move when I wouldn't (well I would but can't) move for them is selfish. I think it's giving them a false hope too which is unfair too, and I just can't tolerate the thought that whilst they are talking to me they COULD be out their finding someone worthwhile that they can see.

As for money I'm pretty set, have most things people aspire for even at my age 21. Furnished home that I own, car that I own, technology, literature. When I do move on my home will be rented out hopefully ensuring I have a partial income and the ability to by another investment property..

Uhhh 4 weeks per year annual leave, ive been working for 3.5 years...get long service leave after 5?

I have to know, how small/isolated is your town. There has to be some bar/club/hangout spot within a reasonable distance. What's five or ten miles if you have a vehicle? If you don't, well you're boned anyway. If you're one of those 'get along with everyone' people, that's generally a good place to meet someone.

Then again, maybe one of your friends has a sister or cousin or something.

Yah! Are you too far from the 'Grey Suit' Town to drive back & forth of a night? Anymore than a 100 klicks would be too far. Though even further on weekends would be passable...

It might be a typical boring Gov town, but there oughta be plenty of 18+ daughters laying around...at least the ones that aren't off at college.
