So recently I fouund a downed street light and buried in the wires was a large metal tube which I presumed was the bulb since I couldnt see the other side.
I ripped the wires off and pulled it out to find it was a very large capacitor. I wrapped it in a rubber glove which was the best thing I had and came home.
I was wondering what totse thought of this. I will get pictures soon but heres what it says on the label.

its a metal canister about 4 inches tall and 2 inches wide the top has two prongs with 4 metal points sticking out and on one side the prongs are connected with a small blue thing with two wires coming out of each side.
Anythoughts on what I should do with it? Needless to say Im being very careful with it.

Thats a badass motherfucker there. Its not really suitable for coilguns, though, since the voltage is so low.

my thoughts are this is a not a huge capacitor but rather a standard ac 10k mfd cap looking like this:

Yeah its like that but its round one second and pictures.

If it's what I think it is, you can use it in speaker crossovers or to start an electric motor.
But overall, it isn't weapon grade.
