I was on the bus, on route seventy. I asked him for a day pass. He never said a word to me. I really wish he did.

I spent the rest of the bus ride staring at him. He was looking back. He tried mouthing something to me, but I couldn't tell what he was trying to say there. I was sitting in the back so he wouldn't see me staring so easily. I'm not supposed to get into conversations with strangers. I took the bus all the way to the end of the route, just to look at him. He gave me this look after I got off, I could feel the sadness penetrate me.

I wish he would have done it another way. Could have been a really interesting day.

Ever have something like this happen? Where you see someone, and just fall in love at first sight, knowing you'll never see them again. It's more than just hormones. It's temporary insanity. It's where love songs are written. I think I'm going to take the bus more often.

I still wish I'd said gotten the phone number of train-girl (that being the only name I have for her) a couple of years back when I was heading up to Scotland. We spent an hour having a mostly-silent conversation and making constant fun of the ridiculously inane and girly chat of my sister and her friend. Not for any kind of relationship thing, she just seemed interesting. She and her family had to dash off the train at short notice to catch a connecting train, though. Ah well.
