so I bought an old record player at a tag sale for my mom, buy its lacking a stylus, and i cant find them anyware localy, but Im wondering if i can replace it with a homemade one until the new one i ordered arives in 2 weeks. I was thinking of sterching out a strand of class and using that.

if by tiny ball you mean on the order of 0.7 mil diameter , well , go at it.

The standard household ZiplocĀ® sandwich bag is 1.5 Mil, so your tiny ball has to be half the thickness of a the plastic used in a ziplock sandwich bag.

jesus, I hope you have the slightest ability to use the internet to find out answers to the simplest of questions.

One mil is equal to .001" or one thousandths of an inch.
