What's the deal with women and musicians?
What is it about a guy playing an instrument that women find so sexy? Well not all of them but a lot. Which instrument do they like the most so I can decide which to play accordantly.
Edit: Would an ugly person have improved chances of getting good looking girls if he plays an instrument?

Re: What's the deal with women and musicians?
There's a certain atmosphere around a guy who plays an instrument. Mystery maybe? He's usually creative, dishevelled and he does his own thing.
It's just sexy. :D

Lots of guys 'do their own thing'. Not all girls want to do their 'thing' for them the way they do musicians...
I mean...I've done my own thing a million times??? Girls are not beating down my door to offer me a hand? :(

Re: What's the deal with women and musicians?
Girls who play instruments make my eyes sparkle with wonder.
When I play stairway, one on one, I make girls cry. And then they sleep with me. 2 out of 2.
Music is a powerful tool. pure and simple.

Re: What's the deal with women and musicians?
I'm currently dating a drummer, he's been playing for 11 years and he's really fucking good. I'm usually attracted to musicians, being a guitarist myself, I feel like I can connect to them more. And they're good to talk about music with. They usually have good stamina too ;) most of my boyfriends have been musicians.

I've dated a bassist, a drummer and a singer. The drummer was amazing at everything but he cheated on me.
I'm off musicians at the moment though.... they're so egotistical.... like writers.

Re: What's the deal with women and musicians?
I'm an avid dancer, guitarist, writer, and artist.
My fingers do much, my penis does many. Why? Probably due to the fact that I have more spare time then anyone they know. I constantly find ways to serenade my women. I do poetry, songs, I dance better than anyone they know. I constantly show them my artwork (usualy little cartoons and shit,) they can't get enough. I suppose that is why.

Re: What's the deal with women and musicians?
I dont know, but I work at a popular bar/club on the weekends, and I see every band's girlfriends/wives, and most of them arent attractive. Of course some of them are good looking, but most arent.
Now, the fucked up/weird thing is that the weird looking band members have the hotter gf's/wives. For instance the band tha played last night is a very popular band in my area. The bassist wears platform boots, long black/purple hair, very pale, looks almost exactly like the undertaker in wrestling. His girlfriend whom I was talking to last night is massively hot. She gave me a kiss on the cheek and that partially made my night.
So from my experience, the more normal looking band memebers have the average/below average looking girls, and the weird ass looking band members have the hotter/more attractive girls.

Re: What's the deal with women and musicians?
:)
I like this one.
Bands attract people like rats to the piper, something about blasting out music at ear-splitting decibels seems to turn people on.
A lot of teenage guys want to be in the band because - you guessed it, the babes.
A lot of girls like teenage guys in bands (to my knowledge) because they're 'different' from all the others - another reason why i steer the fuck away from regular gig-spots.

Re: What's the deal with women and musicians?
Further analogy:
A guy with a guitar and a band is like a guy with a limo pulling up outside a high school house party.
Everyone knows he's a cunt, but he's a rich cunt, and everyone knows him because of it.
Essentially, It's like becoming a chick-magnet, only the only chicks you'll get are the ones who've slept with every other failed band-group and are probably spreading aids.

NO NONONONONO they cant. They see a dick with a guitar and they think "ooh hes sensitive I wanna sleep with him" and the next morning after 4 1/2 minutes of pig sex they crawl off of the shitty bed and think "what the fuck was I thinking this prick can't even play well"
and one more thing: DON'T BRING YOUR FUCKING GUITARS TO PARTIES AND START PLAYING OR I WILL BEAT THE HELL OUT OF YOU THAT IS A PROMISE.

Re: What's the deal with women and musicians?

My partner is a piano player.
It rocks.
I tend not to generalise.
I'm attracted to creative artistic people, and as such, beleive there's a big difference between a person who can play an instrument, and a musician. I can play the flute, but I don't consider myself a musician.
My partner how ever, has an in depth understanding of music, and can actually create music, not just play it, I see that as a facet of musician-ship.
Men who are creative are sexy.
Just plain sexy.

Dude, if I EVER found a semi hot chick who was better at kendo/fighting than me, you'd be damn sure I'd marry her on the spot.
But yeah, I have no clue what it is, I guess they just want to say that they slept with that one guy, in that one band.

Re: What's the deal with women and musicians?
Drummers are hottest. Followed by bass player, then guitarist. At least in my opinion. Why are they hot in that order? Well, that will remain a mystery.
Any guy who can teach me something is hot, in my opinion.
Any guy I can teach a few things to is also hot. I've never been in a relationship where I didn't know more than when I started.

Please note I haven't read any responses whatsoever.
I'd just like to say that my boyfriend's a musician, and he's in a band, and when I got with him that was the sexiest thing ever. The reality of it is, HE SPENDS TOO MUCH FUCKING TIME WITH HIS BAND. And he talks about music WAY TOO much.
On the other hand, it's still fucking sexy. And I love him. :)

My girlfriend is better with a sword than anybody I know, she has something like 10 years' experience and owns the people around her with the same experience. I'd put a lot of money on her kicking your ass, which is in no way an insult to you. Same with a knife. I'm pretty sure she could put one in somebody's head at twenty yards, so you wouldn't get to see what she could do if anybody actually got close.
Although in a fistfight I think she'd come off worse, being 5'2" and super-light. That's when I'd step in :p
And she's fully hot.
...so, y'know, there's hope for you finding one too :)

Eh, musicians are ok they tend to be over emotional and egotistical though.
I do go for arty males though - so a writer, artist or musician generally suits me.

Play less Hendrix and more simple acoustic top 40 hits and fingerpicking pieces that people think are about ten times as hard to play as they actually are.

As well as having been out with musicians.... I also play bass in a punk band. It does seem to work both ways.... I always got quite a lot more male attention at my own gigs than when I was just a member of the audience at other people's gigs.
Also "Wtf i have been playing guitar for like 4 years, WHERE THE FUCK IS MY ACTION!?" You need to actually be in a band if you're just playing guitar in your bedroom nobody is going to know you're a musician.

Re: What's the deal with women and musicians?
simple
chicks like eitherr
A) emo ass faggy band members
B) punk band people
C) guitarists in general
D) drummers in general
i play the drums and ive gotten with a lot of girls just because of that and i play metal shit . my friend plays guitar and hes gotten with girl. they just find it interesting because they are to dumb to notice that its really simple (most of the time anway.)
they dont get atracted to bass players because they think "wow its a guitar with 4 strings and you cant even hear it" so yeah if your trying to get girls through music you should know these things:
1) dont play unless you want to play not to get girls, play for the music not the girls
2) if you suck they will hate you get good and know your good before you play
3) there not gonna notice you if you dont get out there and play
