Default Do guys generally take longer to get over a relationship?

I always seem to. It feels like girls like me, love me, then get sick of me before I have a chance to even comprehend it all...

Is it because girls will generally have a shitload of people wanting to go out with them/sleep with them afterwards, where as guys usually won't? So maybe their self esteem heals more quickly and they still know they're wanted where as guys have to make a move and find out if they're wanted.

Or??

i don't know... I've almost always taken breakups far worse than my girlfriends. They usually end up fucking someone close to me or dating someone else the next day.

That's an individual thing, not a gender thing.

Maybe you attract flaky girls.

There are so many factors that affect both sides: Who broke up with whom? What was the reason? How did it happen? Past relationships? Present emotions etc etc...

Actions don't always accurately reflect what's going on inside. You can't *see* how someone is feeling if they're full of shit, and trust me, women that dump you and fuck someone the next day are full of shit. People that are full of shit do have genuine emotions, they just hide them from both themselves and others until there's a gigantic ball of stress ready to explode through their system.

That's typically the turning point where assholes begin to do right.

You've said you're a sociopath. I think all this meaningful human interaction stuff is about beyond you;)

Also I have no idea what you're talking about.

nah, its just whoever is getting dumped is naturally going to take longer to get over it. and girls are usually the ones who do the dumping.

I tend to think that guys do take longer. I mean, it's alot harder for a guy to open up to a girl, than it is for a girl to open up to a guy. So of course it's gonna take longer to heal, a girl on the other hand could open up to the very next guy she see's.

I think it's more that the one who initiates the break up probably is already most of the way over things. Most of the breakups I've either seen or been a part of have been at the female's behest.

EDIT: I know I'm generalizing but I can't think of a single instance where a guy I know has ended a long term relationship.

What is it with you and me being a sociopath? You think I don't know about human interaction. I do, I know what it's like to watch people experience all this bullshit emotion. The difference between me and you is simply my capacity to ignore those things. I've seen enough shit to not want to deal with those things. They cloud your life.

You're fucking miserable all the time. You whine and bitch and moan... it's embarrasing.

Oh, a piece of advice boy. You're not hard for not letting things "cloud your life", no matter how much shit you think you've seen. If you had any kind of intelligence maybe you would learn from things and develop social skills...not bragging about fucking cripples and your crackhead best friends kid sister.

Game set match, rabbitweed.

I'm a sociopath, sure. I'm a little bit of an overcompensating tough guy, yeah. I don't have many friends, true. But this doesn't change the fact that you're a pussy. That doesn't change the fact that you can't get over women when you're done with them, and this drags on long after they've forgotten. I may be a tough guy, I may have problems with everybody I see, but at least I'm not a bitch.

However much "shit I think I've seen" is probably more then you could ever imagine. Because of my attitude I don't have friends, suprise I'm on TOTSE. This is my friendship, this is everyone in my life. Welcome to my fucking family. I wake up, I work out, I do school work, and I get on TOTSE. That is my fucking day. I give advice the best I can based on things I've seen, and guess what? It works better than anything you could ever tell someone to do.

Yeah, I'm a tough guy. Yeah, I don't have a fucking life. But I'm headed somewhere. I've fucked hotter and I've seen worse. My life up to this point has been really, really fucking shitty. I think every TOTSEAN has a story to tell. We got 'em all: Outcast, Artist, Criminal, Asshole, everyone we make fun of on a regular baisis is on TOTSE. Guess what? You're that whiney asshole who gets crushed by some bitch and whines about it on the internet. You start shit with me, and you memorize shit about me to try and get an edge in an argument.

I fuck my pain away, what the fuck do you do?

P.S. - This may just be the reason girls "get sick of you." You've got the mind of a bitch.

OFT!

I think it has very little to do with gender.

Ehh, my ex-girlfriend dumped me, so 3 days later I went to a party and made out with 2 chicks (at once). She got pretty pissed. She said we should start over or something. I think she seriously wanted to get back together. Oops. Oh well, she was kind of ugly now that I think about it.
