Anyway, I'm tryin to get with this girl. I was planning on hanging out with her last night and kissing her to. We'd been friends for a while, but the friendship was laced with sexual tension, good right?

Some dickwad spreads a rumor about her blowing me. She thinks I started it and just want to be more 'popular' by people thinking I'm getting with her. The thing is, if it wasnt for this dumbass rumor, I'm positive I coulda gotten with her.

How the fuck do I fix this?

Give it time and realize that she feels awkward being seen with you at the moment. If she's feeling particularly offended, the it may not have been a chance for something anyhow.

Just tell her you didn't start it and give her time.

tell her the truth and if you both are as good a friends as you say she should believe you.

Ugh, that's rough man. Just tell her, in person, that it was not you, and maybe say you are sorry that someone else had to ruin your great relationship. With time, she will get over it, and accept it as a stupid rumor. Then when all blows over you can finally get with her, and maybe actually get some of that head.

Make her blow you, that makes the rumor true. :)

Tell her what you told us. That you didn't start the rumor. You would have nothing to gain by doing so, since it ruins your chances with her. Make vague but angered threats towards whoever started it. Let it be known to the people spreading this rumor that you're pissed off and looking for the person who started it.

If she's the kind of person who listens to rumors, that will get back to her as well.
