Earlier tonight, in SG, someone posted a thread that was almost a whole page of IMG's of the Goatse Man, and that got me to thinking.

In the Pre-Vb days there used to be certain posts that would automatically earn the user a ban - at least a temporary one.

So here's my question: If a Mod finds a thread - or a post - that in the past would have called for a ban, what if we were to give the person one of the infractions that automatically trigger a temp ban [one of the 10 point infractions].

Then, in the section for Admin Notes, we explain the real reason for the infraction.

I asked this question when I was talking to one of the Super Mods and it was suggested I put forth the question here to see what you all think.

I think that there are still certain things that should earn the person an immediate temp ban.

If you're referring to some user named NoW4RNING or something like that, he's making his rounds and posting img walls of goatse.

Gave him an infraction for spam, was thinking about doing the entire ten points but wasn't sure about it.

Yeah, I've had to deal with that in IFIOTW as well. About 30 infractions, but thats all I can do. Hand out warnings.
