What does everyone think about putting an infraction, for 1 point, that is titled:

"Violation of individual forum policy"

Say for example the moderators make it VERY clear, in example a post of the rules on a forum, for something that 100% does not belong in that forum, and will not be tolerated in such forum. If a user violates a forum rule, they are given a minor 1 point infraction.

This would be used for individual forum policy ONLY. For example, posting warez sites in IFIOTW, posting illegal drug sources in BLTC, or posting video game registration codes in GPP.

How does that idea sound?

It would be good because every other infraction sometimes doesn't fit.

Yeah, us BLTC mods proposed something similar (http://www.totse.com/community/showthread.php?t=1990742) to Jeff. Haven't heard back on it yet, though.

Not to be a dick or anything but aren't all those things examples of something that's already not allowed totse-wide?

People aren't allowed to post game registration codes anywhere on totse, not just GPP. So that falls into personal information or otherwise banned information. Just as an example.

Just because these things happen more commonly in certain forums, doesn't mean they need their own infraction. These are things not allowed anywhere, and that's certainly not forum specific.

That was my thinking too. Because in BLTC, for example, we are much more concerned about source posting than we are spam.
