Paying for Lifted Items
Everyone knows there are certain [huge categories of] items that you can't purchase unless you're of age, which depends on your state (excluding tobacco, alcohol, etc.) One example of this is that in Ohio you can't buy spray paint unless you're 21. If you try to buy one of these items, most stores won't sell it to you. If you're not going to steal the item, what would happen if you gave them the money for the item and told them the money was for the item then walked out of the store? It's probably still illegal, but I was wondering what could happen from this.

Re: Paying for Lifted Items
It's still theft as far as the law is concerned.
I thought this was about buying stolen goods: A practice I fully support and endorse.
Tell kleptos you'll pay them 10% of the price to steal an item you would otherwise buy. You just saved 90% of the purchase price. You sometimes have to negotiate a bit but it's a great way to save money. It covers your ass and makes the thief money. It's win-win.

Why don't you just steal it, and NOT pay?

Re: Paying for Lifted Items
well for certain things like spray pant which arent exactly pocket sized. you'd need to box stuff or some other technique.
and to OdayJuarez, 10%? i went through a mad klepto stage a few years back, and if someone asked me to steal something and they would give me 10% of what it costs i would laugh at their face. unless it was a good friend then i probably would just hook it up for free. but i stole stuff cause i needed the money so 10% makes no sence to me

Re: Paying for Lifted Items
I never had any problems finding someone.
Asking friends to steal for you without comphensation is low. You pay them and they get busted, they weren't doing you a favor, it was business: You don't owe them anything.

Re: Paying for Lifted Items
Yeah 10% of the price is rediculous unless it's a crackhead trading stolen shit for a $20 rock. Most people charge 40-50% off the store price. It's a win win if you were just going to buy the item anyways. But I do love it when crackheads come up with ps2's and video games and DVD's and gold chains and shit for such a miniscule amount of rock. Fucking awesome if I do say so myself.
