| Technophiliacs & Technophiles The Technophiliacs forum is for discussing any and all forms of tech and other types of social backwardness. Including discussions of strange home-brewed hardware technology. Where to get good tools. How to make fiberglass molds. Computer hardware and software technolgy, including operating systems, applications, networking, hardware, CPU's, disk drives, and other geeky things. Viruses and Artificial Life discussions. How to write HTML. End user tools discussions and support issues. Gating the Internet with other nets. If your computer is better than anyone else's computer, you are required to post a message explaining why. You'll probably be wrong, especially if you're a Mac or BeOS user, but post anyway. |

Have any of you seen those "adapters" that you put in your cd slot, and you can fit in 5.25'' hard disks?(s) in them?
if so, where do you think I can get them from?

Re: CD to Hard dish adapter
Are you talking about something you can put in your CD tray? Because if you are, youve been bullshitted on.
I believe CD/DVD Roms use the same mobo connectors, so im completely unsure of what youre speaking of. Mind elaborating a bit?

The way you worded it it sounded like you were looking for something you put in a CD drive that magically turned it into a hard disk, which is impossible.

Re: CD to Hard dish adapter
Just place the hard disk in the larger bay, and don't move your computer. It'll be fine!

Yeah, I'm sure they did back when 16mbs of memory was unheard of.
Hell, you should be able to fit at least two harddrives in the space a single disk drive fits in!!
