Shaving your asshole is bad news whenever it grows out. That shit itches like a mother fucker.

I prefer to just trim it and shave around the edges for neatness's sake. However, my girlfriend likes it shaved, so that's how it's been for some time now.

There was a story a while ago about why you shouldnt shave the asshole. Seriously, its a bad idea. I've never tried it, but once I went a little low and naired off some of the hair on my inner thighs. It wasnt pleasant, not at all. The friction is insane, and you sweat like nothing else. I believe that if you are hairy down there then shave it all of at first and then trim as needed


ok, so the day before moisturize the area

then the day of the deed, get an electric trimmer and trim the hairs down, this makes it easier to shave, after trimming lather the shit out of it with shaving cream, its a sensitive area don't skimp.

When shaving I find that a 2 blade razor works best, anything more and its awkward to maneuver.

take your time, shave like you would your face but slowly, make sure to get every part of what you want to shave, reapply cream as needed, I find its actually easier to shave if you are at least partially erect, it helps getting the stubborn stuff at the base of the shaft

after shaving wipe away the hair and lather, and blood if you weren't careful, now immediately apply moisturizer to reduce razor-burn, now if the moisturizer burns a bit don't worry about it, but to reduce this use non-scented stuff, re-moisturize about every hour for a couple hours.

as for maintainence, now that its all shaved off, you can shave it every week or however often if you wanna look like a 9 year old boy, but I find its better to just trim it with the electric razor when its short, or growing back in, and by trimming you avoid having to deal with the itch of growing back in

Individually its not bad. Its almost like an anatomy lesson of a hair follicle considering that the follicles are laterally under the skin.
