Sorry if this has come to pass before.
Evil: The strife of human nature?
I was once told something to the effect of evil is often related to fire.
And was watching a show that said. “1407 the English Bible translation was denounced as unauthorized, and translating or using translated Bibles was defined as heresy -- a crime for which the punishment was death by burning.”
They went as far as to dig up, John Wycliffethe’s body, the first guy who had translated this bible and burn his body.
As well all the witch trials and all the other burning to “Cleanse” us from the evil things. During this event, there is this arouse feeling of rage, anger, and vengeance against what it is these people fear. Could it be a force of evil grasping this group to drive out that which is good?

maybe it's more like an unwillingness to let the common people get literate, combined with an irrational fear of change and a creepy ability to hold grudges

Yeah In the case of that Wycliffethe person, those who persecuted him are supposed to be the people that are upholding the good word. Everyone must of over looked the ethic of reciprocity.

It's a tool to gain power. What the fuck did you expect, benevolence and understanding when people do things behind the church's back?

I thought it was the church was to assume the ideals of being accepting and support kindness, besides there could be other ways to treat your enemies. Never the less this Wycliffethe dude was just trying to produce a book for people in their native tongue. And the church created negative emotions, was wrecking havoc, ensuing chaos, and disrupting peace much like a demon would.

I just got why it is fire is related to evil via fire & brimstone outlook on hell. And that’s why we here use it to put those things we deem as evil to hell. Fight Fire with Fire?
I still don’t like the whole mob of a crowd it seems like they are possessed to do harm to good things
