Default Old laptop + New Games

http://www.pricegrabber.com/search_t...asterid=669306

I want to be able to play World of Warcraft on the computer, but I'm more than sure it would have memory problems with the amount of resources WoW needs. I was thinking about upgrading the memory by 512mb, but I'm not going to if it won't run on a 16mb video card (Geforce Go 440 - I believe). So my question is: Would I be able to run WoW on that computer if it were to have an extra 512mb of system memory.

I was able to run it (barely) on my 420 go. You shouldn't have a problem

I have a feeling that WoW will run on most anything now-a-days.

The 420 and 440 gos are like 5-6 years old, they're pretty crappy but overclock like a crazy.

Thumbs up Re: Old laptop + New Games

EDIT: Have you bought this? Or are you thinking of buying?

Does it have to be a laptop?

If so, take a look at this:
http://cgi.ebay.com/DELL-9100-P4-3-2...QQcmdZViewItem

Has 3.2GHz Pentium 4
512 MB RAM
256MB Mobility Radeon 9700 - I had one of these in my old laptop, runs like a beauty

Here's something that ends a bit later:
http://cgi.ebay.com/DEll-Inspiron-91...QQcmdZViewItem
3.2 GHz Pentium 4
1 GB RAM
128MB Mobility Radeon 9700

Good luck.

I appreciate it, but unfortunately I don't have that kind of money to spend on a new laptop, I'd rather spend a minimal amount and upgrade what's necessary.

New games are shit. Pick up a copy of the atari classic compilation and you'll be set for life.
