Exclamation In need of a reaction

So i am searching for a reaction for a lab i need to do, the lab is on the rate of reaction. So far the only reaction i have thought of involves bromine, so my science teacher said it is not an option.

If anyone knows a reaction which follows (even partially) these rules, please post it.

-No toxic fumes
-the rate of reatcion can be changed by using a catalyst/heating it
-i can somewhat measure the change in rate of reaction ( e.g: gradual change in wait, temperature change, time for product to appear)

Wink Re: In need of a reaction

You stupid fucker! This flame is the perfect reaction
1- No toxic fumes.

2-.The rate of reaction can be changed depending on how much more you ask stupi question and how hot you get everyone around here.

3-You can measure the bruises and black eyes you have and you can alter them by running your mouth some more and change it again

Now go to class and work on your fuckin homework!

Go hire a private tutor. We aren't here to do your homework for you. Don't you have any friends? Hey, heres an idea, how about you pick up the god damn textbook, and maybe read something out of it. Maybe pay more attention in class.

Retard.

He didn't flame you because this isn't about drugs, he flamed you because you are a lazy little retard, begging us to do your homework. Then, when you get denied, you go and talk shit to a very respected person here. Great way to get help asshole, piss off one of the most prominent users.

And another reason, this forum is for chemistry yes, but not fucking 3rd grade chemistry.

Thank you. He don't know it could have beeen much worse. I had to hold Speedy back on that one. LOL

You want a reaction for class? Here's a perfect one: Drop an alka seltzer in a glass of water and watch what happens. Or pour some sulfuric acid on some table salt.

Can we get a mod in here to lock this stupid shit, and submit this condescending asshole for a ban?

He answered your question, and you still talk shit. I don't think you realize the caliber of the people you are dealing with here. You need to show some fucking respect. It wouldn't be hard at all to get your IP, call your ISP with some bogus story, get your address, and come and rape your entire fucking family. And not only are the people here capable of it, some of them just might be crazy enough to do it.

NaHCO3 decomposing. you boil NaHCO3 in water. More heat = a more vigorous rxn, and you can measure it with a balloon on a flask as it gives off a gas.

I'd go with somthing along the lines of what heat was saying, a qaseous decomposotion.

I would have suggested H202 decompostion measured int eh same way from a 5% solution.Use a larger EF flask, and a gas colection setup.

Time the necceary time need to collect so much volume of gas.

For catalysts combination, have a control in the dark without heat.

Use heat, ambient light, UV light, active yeast cells, magenese dioxide, and potasium iodide.
