I'm not sure Sarkozy is that much better. I mean, at least he doesn't label himself a socialist, but he seems to have proposed his fair share of totalitarian rules.

Is French socialism the same thing as socialism as we think of it, or is that just the name of the party? A lot of times political parties views don't correlate with those on this side of the pond.

his "totalitarian" actions have been cracking down on the immigrant bullshit, not coddling it, like the socialist party ALWAYS does. when a bunch of immigrant scum burns down thousands of citizens cars, sarkozy says, arrest those assholes. the socialists, and royal, say we need to give them more money, and invite more of them to come here to show were open and liberal.

Sarkozy (sp?) winning could really turn france around. Socialism has ruined france. Having the minimum wage too high guarantees unemployment and drives prices up on everything.

Him wanting to crush the rioters like the scum they are was the right decision, being a soft piece of shit is ok sometimes, but not when your cities are burning because of your inaction.

Sarkozy is courting the center too. Both have made moves to try and get Bayrou's(sp?) endorsement, and thus his votes.
