Politics: Left, Right, and Center National, state, regional, and local politics. Who's doing what to whom, and what you can do about it. How-to-get-action messages are encouraged. "How the government fucked up my life" stories are encouraged. Sharing new methods for cheating on taxes is encouraged. Sample "letters to congresscritters" are encouraged. Apathy and "I can't do anything" posts are discouraged. Left, right, centrist, or any other form of political-economic systems are all up for discussion. Be prepared to defend yourself, or at least have a good line of bullshit ready. Extensive quoting of economists and philosophers is frowned upon. We want to hear what YOU have to say, not what some constipated, impotent, dead guy dreamt up while suffering from the DT's over a hundred years ago thought.

Default The petrodollar and The Iranian threat?

Iran has been trading in Euros with China since 2003 and has announced it will resume world oil trade in Euros very soon.

How do you think this will undermine the petrodollar and the US oil markets?

It is no secret that shortly before Iraq was named as a target it announced its oil trade will be resumed in Euros instead of dollars, meaning that the US would need to sell items to Europe in exchange for Euros to buy its oil as the US banks can nor print Euros.

Now we have a system where the US is able to buy from other nations, selling in Dollars and it can print its own currency, known as the petro dollar cycle, in the end the dollars get back to the US.

Also, how do you think ever since the Saudi deal that the world has coped with world oil trade, prior to this deal prices were as low as $2 a barrel and now look what we have.

Do you think it is a coincidence that Iraq, and now Iran have both been in the spot light a lot more, they seem to wedge Iran into every threat we hear now.......now that they have announced (like Iraq before) that they will sell in PetroEuro and not PetroDollar?

Maybe the reason we are concerned with Iran is because they are a terrorist state trying to build nuclear weapons?

There are no other countries that can challenge our military superiority, and therefore they have little choice but to accept the dollars we declare are today’s “gold.” This is why countries that challenge the system – like Iraq, Iran and Venezuela – become targets of our plans for regime change.
In other words, the dollar is fucked if OPEC stops using petrodollars. If the dollar falls, so does America. Fiat currency strikes again.

If Iran is a terrorist state, considering just what the US has done to Iran, then the US is a terrorist state that HAS built nuclear weapons.

Well, for starters, under the Bush Senior Administration back in the early 90s, we helped Hussein's Iraq acquire and develop chemical weapons to use against Iran in combat.
