So how do you grow balls? Simple. Just go do stupid stuff with your friends. Heres an example.
Today me and my 2 friends went out to go "chop" some girls. So we bussed it all the way to another school where another friend had some girls for us. Too bad they were not of quality. So now pissed off because these girls didn't make our standards, we went out on a mission. Were sitting by the curb, watching cars go by. One car with a nice looking girl in it glimpsed at us a couple times. My friend, got up, walked out into the street, and tapped her window then did a downward motion with his hand telling her to roll down her window. The girl, shocked out of her wits, did roll down the window. Now, my friend and this female that he never met, had a full fledged conversation with her.
That was just a small story of all the stupid shit we do just for fun.

The moral of this story? Go out and just talk to girls, talk to girls your not even interested in, it might just be funny to see how they react, like D.O. said, its not the end of the world if they reject you, because you'll still be considered rejected even if you didn't talk to her. And for those who are not up to that point yet of doing stupid shit like the above, just ease out real slow first. You can't say that you definitively have nothing to lose in every situation. You could go up to any girl and ask for sex with no fear of rejection. But I think you should probably be a little more careful. A few general rules may include:
