Ode to my faithful
My faithful, she greets me every morning, with me every step I take, there in my triumphs and defeats, and in especially in my hours of need. Never flinching, never retreating, my faithful will never leave me, not for even the wonders of the world.
I feel her touch as I manage the stairs, the lingering feeling running through my joints and in my bones. So dedicated and committed to me, is that she never leaves me, not when i eat or drink, though my faithful seems to be a miss when i slumber.
She knows me well, she knows my limits, telling me, urging me to sit and rest, to take the weight off my feet and the weight of the world off my shoulders. Sometimes, she is gentle, a soft touch enough to stay me in my path, other times she must be more brutual, but I console myelf, my faithful, she will never leave.
Where would I be, without arthritis?
