Childhood hallucinations
This thought came to me suddenly a few days ago. I remember when I little, uptil about 12 years, I used to have hallucinations every night. They always occurred in the dark and were red outlines of different objects. They would gently float around me and move slowly.
A friend of mine also remembered having hallucinations as a child that went away around entering teens. Her hallucinations were always of tiny atomic structured balls. And she never saw them in the dark. Only in sunlight coming in from windows etc.
Anyone remember having extremely vivid hallucinations as a child? I used to consider them a normal part of life and thought everyone saw things. When the hallucinations went away I slowly forgot about them and till a few days ago had never remembered them once in a long time. Now it seems strange, how easily I forgot them.

Re: Childhood hallucinations
I used to think I heard voices sometimes in my room. That was when I was way little.
Now I wonder if it was merely my imagination in ultra mode. I've managed to enter the beta brain wave state (I think it's beta). The same state you acheive when trying to astral project. From here it was like my imagination was on autopilot and I was a spectator watching images and listening to cool stuff in my head. I remember listening to an updated version of the superman theme tune in my head once and it sounded soooo beautiful.

Re: Childhood hallucinations
Yeah I remember seeing these sort of floating colours and objects in dark and dimly lit conditions, which was usually at night and the very early hours of the morning, I also completely forgot about them for a very long time, it seems quite strange thinking back but at the time it was nothing out of the ordinary.

Re: Childhood hallucinations
I used to have wierd hallucinations but sometimes I am doubt they were.
---- age 8 ----
talked to an old lady who looked like my grandmother cooking in the kitchen. My real grandmother walked in the house and when i looked in the kitchen the lady was gone.
--- age 4-6 -------
I wake up and walk down my hallway to see people passing by in fast motion. I see days pass by and by the time I reach the end of the hall a few years have gone by and I stop there and think what the fuck just happened?
-----age 17-18 -----
me and a cousin see a were aperation apear in my room which has a upside down triangle head with slanted eyes and mouth. It is also a strange purple color with black tv static mixed in it.

Holy shit, That is EXACTLY what i used to have. Right before i fell asleep I would see orbs of some sort that would morph into what i imagined as beings. They were made of circles and would get bigger and smaller and such. I think mine were more of a whitish silvery blue outline though. The last time I experienced this was one day when I was telling my friends about them. They often tell me things. I think that they are what I talk to in my head.
Anyway, because i last had one when i told my friends i believe that you can force your self to see them if you concentrate hard enough. All I know is when I would see them I would instantly get random thoughts. Ill try to have one tonight and reply what it was about.
EDIT: Im pretty sure your friend was expirencing floaters. They are often described differently by different people. I used to think it was like a bacteria cell when I was little, until I started reading about them. I would often have deja vu there the occured (my bed looking at my light, going down my stairs where theres a chandelier, and often times looking out windows). Apparently bright light often causes them
You should IM me sometime- coop355

Re: Childhood hallucinations
This thread sent shivers down my spine. I used to see vivid shapes around my bedroom curtains when I was much younger. I also recall one time I seen a green figure sort of look around my door, that really did scare me, and I definatly seen something.

Re: Childhood hallucinations
Nothing big, but since i was a small child up untill today, pink orbs drift in my vision in dark rooms. They are always linked in lines and twist and spiral.
They seem to be constrained to invisible polygons parallel to me retinas.

Re: Childhood hallucinations
When I was really small, I must have been about 4 or 5 I remember laying in my bed trying to sleep and I saw a big black shadow that looked like a spider move across my bedroom and dissapear behind a white toybox which was against the wall. It freaked me out but everyone told me it was imagination. I don't think about it much but this thread reminded me of it.

Wow, seems that many people had hallucinations as children but forgot about them later. What're floaters gunjah? and I don't come online a lot nowadays, busy with exams. Is that an msn IM? I use msn.
