So, in a matter of weeks I've went from popular, charismatic, "saved by the bell"ish guy straight into a downward spiral of boring forums and MUD files. The move that I went along with my family in completely destroyed my social life. I have no more friends, it's impossible to get laid, and my free time is dedicated to working out and playing cybernations. Yeah, it's kind of like that. Cool.

Now, this wasn't a gradual realization. Earlier this month I was on & Tater TOTSE with a big head. You know, giving people advice on relationships, sharing my veiwpoints on women and confidence. Now, I've come to terms with the fact that most of my conquests were attributed to acheived status. I've moved and with that I've become a nobody. Cool!

One of my friends offered me a place to stay, but with the new century the cost of college is too much for me to pay for. The new world is not content with working at WALMART, everyone wants to go to college. I don't have enough work experience to be able to live on my own and complete college without help from my parents, and they want me to stay home. They want me to take out student loans and lay low through college. "Cool," I say.

So, I was sitting at home today when my parents asked me if I wanted to go out to Shaumberg (some suburban soccer mom community that old me wouldn't be able to handle without lung-destroying bong rips) I nearly exploded out of my fucking chair to say "yeah!" It was then that I died a little inside. In conclusion I'm a fucking loser with no friends. It's gotten to be pathetic. Seriously, what the fuck!? I'm joining the Peace Corps as soon as I get done with this semester.

I moved to Chicago with my parents. I lost all my friends. I'm out of highschool and on online courses. I'll either be taking summer courses this semester or join the peace corp, but for right now I'm turning into a pasty basement dweller. I'm in shape and everything, I still have people skills... but I have no friends and no outlet to meet people.

Here's an idea. Instead of sitting on Totse complaining about and talking about all this shit to losers that have no lives, you go out and do something about it.

Like sports? Go find people playing and ask to join in.

Volunteer. You'll be surprised how many people you meet.

Get a job. This gets you money, out of the basement, and a way to meet people. Also saving for that college that's so expensive!

I'm in the same situation. I stayed back an extra year before I go to college. I do have a select few of some good friends. Sadly, there are no outlets from them to meet any girls. And lately, I've been blowing them off because of the same boring shit they do. I as well, am in good shape. And I dwell a lot on missed chances to hook up with someone new.

College will be better and I know it. So my advice to you is to be patient.

No, i'm paying for college and many living situations. My parents just want me to stay home in case I get myself into a rut. They help me out when I need it. I would move out but I have no roomates to live with in Chi-town, and however easy it would be to stay where I used to live in Iowa: I don't want to pay to live in Iowa, it is the most boring shithole on the planet. All I need to know is what I should do to meet people. I'm kind of asking if anyone knows of anything to do in Chi-town.

Got a shitload of friends, went to a ton of parties

Check out the local music scene. Oasis I really like goin' to Oasis in west chicago. It's a hookah bar that plays local bands, mostly HS. I've heard clearwaters pretty good. So go to a few concerts, bring some bud, and meet some people. Try and get invited to a few concerts with some people. Illinois' actually not that bad.

Oh and talk to some people at the gym. After a month or so of knowing at the gym, see if they want to hang out. Then see if you can get invited to a party/ buttrape them. Also if you get booze, and you want to hang out with minors, bring it/ offer to get people. It's creepy but it works.

I went to visit the city over spring break. The coolest place I found was Wicker Park. Take the blue line out to Damen and just walk around there. You're bound to meet cool people.

Go to college! Easiest way to meet people. Take out student loans if you need to! It's worth it. College really is an amazing experience. And it's ridiculously easy to meet people.

I used to be like that, but I realized I had to move out. Now, instead of dwelling in my parents house occasionally getting high, I'm living alone, dwelling in my own room, constantly high.

I substituted one hell for another, more expensive one. But it does give me freedom to do whatever I want, so I can't complain. It just gets lonely on the weekdays sometimes.

A part of me wants to say "Get the fuck over it an get off your ass," but I like to bitch just the same despite the fact that I KNOW what I have to do. And I think you're aware it's possible to get laid again.

So yeah... get off your ass and put your computer in the attic for a few weeks. Make decisions. Everyone has their problems, take it one day at a time.

I lived in Iowa for eleven years of my life. I have all my friends there. I had a lot of friends. To go from a lot to no friends kinda sucks. I'm not joining the corps to escape boredom, I'm joining because I want to see the world and help people. Either that or the coast guard to help me pay for college. After college I'm joining the military, and after that I'm going to finish up my doctorate that I've been working on for the past two years. Note: this is because I like helping people.
