So I've seen numerous sources using the same 45-65% statistic for spouses in marriage cheating on eachother. I'm thinking that number is largely inflated by repeat marriages. But as niave as it sounds Ive been cheated on and have a few friends that have been on both ends...but is it really such a certainty that the majority of guys/girls will do it? even half sounds inflated to me...thoughts?

I'm not married but I've cheated. I think the stat is right.. but I don't know.

Half means that one person in the marriage has cheated. I look at my experiences and think this is possible, but I look at my parents and don't necessarily believe that... then again they are crazies that aren't very typical (they are uptight christians that don't believe in evolution)

I've made it clear to my boyfriend, if he wants to ever go off and fuck some skank, he should atleast be decent enough to tell me, so I can have my own freedom, and more importantly, he wont put me at risk selfishly.

First of all if you are going to do it without protection wouldnt you notify your other half if you care about them as a person? They dont need to go sit in a doctors clinic sweating their ass off hoping you havent given them some scary std...

I dont see the point in cheating at all, I think if you feel the need to be with somebody else then you shouldnt be in a relationship.. a commited one anyway.

But thats my opinion, im sure some people dont see any fault in cheating.. i think its disgusting.

If so many people people didn't rush into marriage too quickly (which seems incredibly common in this day and age), maybe the stats wouldn't be so high.

mm yeah well I think people have rushed into or been forced into marriage throughout history...the only real change i see that in western society its become far more accepted...

the random hookups are bad...but the constant meetings of someone else are the real piece of shit tactic from my view.
