Swims rriend tried to gas it but nothing came out, no snow at all. but swims friends friend swears that there is at least a quarter once left over..... its been sitting there for like 4 or five months will or is it still alright..? Add about 200ml of TCE throw the lye to her shake well, let sit for about 30 min, pull TCE off the bottom (it will be the heaviest), run through filters till clear, gas away. Thats what Speedy would try. If that doesn't work, there may not be anything there. TCE is a lot stronger puller than colemans plus it's easier to migrate down than it is up.

Was it sitting on top of the based fluid for months or was it based and and the NP removed with the freebase in it???

right now there are two layers swigds friend put dh20 in to the NP so thee are to layers with snot floating around. this was gased once be for to get the free base but before hand was sitting in NP for months.

Yeah, true Gigster - it wouldn't make sense at all to 'partly' gas anything and leave a large amount of MA freebase behind (especially 1/4oz). I could see someone not bothering pulling the last dregs or leaving a little nonpolar behind if they didn't have a sep funnel and was 'pouring' it off or 'sucking it up but 1/4 oz is something you don't leave behind - not in the normal world. What was his reason for not salting it out? you dont supply information to get any answers. So you got a NP solvent so what ,was it from a wash of the post reaction mix? or was it the NP someone based the post reaction honey into?(one gases for the salt no to get freebase) so lets ASSume since you dont tell us its the NP from based reaction honey you got 2 options 1- dry the NP and gas or 2- do a titration.Thats it theres no hocus pocus chant for you to do thats going to magically put MA freebase into that NP solvent .
The snot you see is probably just that the guy that gave you the NP blew it in there so when he tells his educated friends the story they will have a great laugh.

Was the gas dried throughly? If it is not dry you can get the water content of the HCl gas absorbing the MA and I think that can look apparently, like 'snot' - just go for a titration of the NP - take the Ph straight down to 1 - don't worry about it for now - going for Ph 6 and that is not really necessary - take it to 1 - evapporate the water after you have removed it from the solvent and then if thereis any MA in there it will show up - NB- when swiy is evaporating there will be a nasty HCl gas fumes coming off (they aren't too bad - just don't have a good sniff -e specially if swiy is trying a speedy evaporation on heat). After evaporation take the MA and give it a good acetone wash - this will turn the acetone yellow as it removes the excess HCl acid and returns the MA to a neutral ph. If, there is anything in there it will come out.

already added dh2o? easy way would be to add mur acid few drops at a time,swirling between drops,until ph of water layer is a 7,then drain off water layer and let dry,if there is anything there that should get it out.swiwpcc thinks your being fed full of shit,but there's your answer.
