~sigh~ Why do I even bother?
Okay. First of all, you don't need the hydrogen. Chlorine gas bubbled through water will evolve oxygen and hydrochloric acid in the presence of sunlight...

WTF is the chemical formula of table salt, again?
Take a buttload of table salt. Cover it in white vinegar. Bring to a boil.
...take a big horkin' whiff. Tell me what it smells like.
Yes. It just so happens that HCl gas has a much, much lower boiling point than, oh, say, acetic acid. By far. Distill that shit through some table salt, and you should have decently pure anhydrous HCl gas.
Or, if you felt like electrolyzing table salt, you'd have a jar of sodium hydroxide solution and a jar of HCl solution.
The answer to "how do I get some acid" is
always :
1. Find salt.
2. Liberate acid.
3. Cleanup.
...or electrolysis... but for fuck's sake, do things the traditional way before you detonate an H2 bomb in the middle of a solution of hydrochloric acid, k? Splatter's a bitch.
