Default Mirror reflection frequencys

I am making a mount for my radar detector on my motorcycle. The problem I am having is that in order for me to be able to see it while riding, the front of the unit must be facing upward. Well when the front is facing upward, the other side with the sensors on it is facing down towards the road.

So what I am doing is making a small mount that consists of an angled mirror that will reflect light from up ahead on to the sensors. This way I can have it mounted in the fashion that I stated above.

What I need to know is if an ordinary mirror will also reflect microwaves between 10 and 40 GHz. If not what type of material will?

ehh i tried to google it but couldn't find shit. maybe you could mount it normally and use the mirrors to reflect the display to yourself ? might be a pain in the ass because it will be reversed after the first mirror.

A normal mirror will not reflect microwaves. Look up a microwave or radio wave guide, see if that gets you anything.

How does a radar gun work? The waves reflect off of things like the metal in your bike.

So why not just use a flat piece of metal?

I would prefer to use something that is known to reflect a high percentage of the waves.

But it seems thats what I am going to end up doing.

Why not reflect something that you KNOW reflects, regular light? Use the mirror to read it with the detector facing up.

Just wire a remote LED to the indicator and install it in the speedo.
