Here's my problem, there's a TV in my house that I'd love to see stop working because the only person that uses it is a snotty little cunt (no need for details, this isn't an S&A thread.) I want the TV to break but I can't just smash the fuck out of it with a tire iron like I would normally. It's a Toshiba tube TV, any ideas on how to stop this damn thing from working?

open it up and just start cutting wires at random. if you're lucky, it may pop and fizzle instead of just not turning on.

Pour water through the top vents while it's on, or do it right before her favorite TV show, so it's still wet when she turns it on.

Alternately, pour bleach or hydrochloric acid through the vents and just leave it overnight.

Take everything out, and put a cat in there.

Pour water/other volatile liquids down the vents and turn on. Voila.

Hide the remote. Maybe the lazy asshole will just let it be.

Take the tv outside. Pour a BIT of a flammable liquid down the vents without letting the liquid touch the vents, or any other visible area. Drop a match. Hopefully that should screw it up enough, without too much visible damage.

If you're REALLY lucky it'll completely hollow out the inside...but probably not

Break the plug, for example take the fuse out and then swap all the wires round, then when he plugs it back in KABOOM.

Replace the fuse with one of a much lower amplitude.

Next time that person leaves a drink on top of the tv, or near the tv, take the drink and like some others have said, pour it in the tv when they're not there, and leave the drink on top of the tv, so they think it's their fault.

Heat up the extension lead with a heat gun right before it goes into the TV. melt it for a while, then push it inside a little so it can't be seen. If it works, you'll melt out the insulation in a spot and it'll short, then catch fire.
