i treat him nicely, like i'd treat anyone i care about, but nicer because well, yanno.

Well I'm kind of immature so when im not lavishing affection on my girlfriend, I generally act like a bit of an ass. Sometimes I berate her, but that's because i have a lot of latent hostility towards her for fucking my best friend for a month and not telling me... after we dated, but still. Anyways. You get the idea.

I verbally abuse her just to hear her response to me. She comes up with some great ones. And they thing is we both love it and it helps our relationship.

Phone time = Verbal abuse is allowed and kind of expected.

Face time = Just being happy together, no arguing, happiness, etc...

Its like we get any frustrations or anger we have out through a safe medium, and then when we see each other, there is no hostility.

Well anyway I'm generally a bit of an ass but in a joking way. I make fun of her jokingly and she understands its all jokes. Even when I am serious I put a light spin on things to make it easier. She gets into bad moods and I'm generally in a good mood. I dont try to be funny it's just my way of dealing with things so I guess it works out because she is very joking as well. Unless she's not joking then I get to think about wtf went wrong for a few days.
