Default Pull ups

I've always been kind of weak in the arms in ratio to body size, and have always had a problem with pull ups. Can anybody suggest exercises apart from curls that would help me to perform pull ups?

Don't over analyze this; if you want to do more pull-ups, do pull-ups, if you can't even do one, they make machines designed to give you assistance.

Yeah, just keep doing pullups and once you can get over 10, add weight until you can still only do 10.

Also, if you can do more than 1 rep, do 50% of your maximum reps.

Take a minute or 2 break.

Do 50% of your maximum again.

Repeat about 5 times.

Do this with 2 or 3 days rest between.

Keep checking back on your maximum every 2 weeks.
