Go to the mall and say hi and attempt to start conversation with like 20 girls.

I guarantee you'll get over these confidence issues. Go to a place where nobody knows you if you can't do it near home.

If you can't even do this, go to the mall and start a conversation with 20 random people, at least half of which are women, but can be of any age. Say hi in Macys, talk to the food counter server person etc. etc.

Also, **MAKE EYE CONTACT**... don't look away. It just broadcasts like a neon flashing sign that you don't have self confidence.
