call a girl your girlfriend?

This girl and I have this "thing" going on. We want to date but we can't because she's grounded and pretty much not allowed to leave her house. But we still act like a couple, with like kissing before we have to head to the next class, hugging etc.

And even if we were dating, after which date is it appropriate to officially label her as your girlfriend?

When you mutually agree with her that you two are dating otherwise it could lead to a real awkward situation.

It's safer to let other people say that you're going out.

High school relationships for the most part are just a facade for the girls who don't want to feel like whores while they're fucking a guy.

I guess however this behavior goes on a long time for some people. Some college girls still hold onto it, adults too.

When you say "hey I want you to be my girlfriend" and she says "really? ok". At least thats how it works for me.

If you're not sure when it's okay to call her, just ask. "Hey, I know you're grounded, but is it okay if I give you a call tonight?" Also, if you call when you say you will, she will be impressed, lol.

As for the boyfriend/girlfriend thing, I'd wait till you've been dating about a month and then just ask.

When you are both comfortable being together, have a chat about your relationship.

Depending on your maturity 'asking her out' is maybe not appropriate. Ask how she views the relationship, it'll work itself out if you are cool together.

To be honest there is no real reason to have to label what you have... She is your *insert her name*.

Yeaaaaa...last time I did that (with texting), her mom caught her and she got grounded (more), while she already was grounded and I felt like a jackass, because if I didn't text her, she wouldn't get in trouble/bitched at.

After you go out a few times just tell her that you want her to be your girlfriend. if she says no or i cant, then chances are there is someone else in her life she doesnt want you to know about.
