Biggest gun ban ever proposed

This is fairly old news to the people in W&C, but I haven't noticed a thread about it here yet.
Anyway, Carolyn McCarthy (D-NY) is trying to reinstate the Assault Weapons Ban, which failed miserably and predictably at "preventing gun crime" from 1994-2004. Due to the large amount of statistical evidence showing that the AWB failed last time and there is no reason for it to work now, even the freedom-hating parts of the media that pushed for it last time haven't really supported it. And how could they? "I support this measure that didn't decrease crime last time it was in place and probably won't this time either because I'm afraid of guns"? And the whole bit about it costing the dems their majority last time won't help it pass now either.
So, I don't think this will pass- or even leave committee- but it's good to be informed of such matter.
Regardless, some people are going to keep on trying to ban guns for their own selfish reasons, and we have to remain vigilant. Join the NRA and write your congresspeople if you haven't already.

hmm, i didnt even say liberal! So when i say PC you automaticly think of liberal, and you know gun ban is PC, so if gunban is PC is it not liberal?

Because 'Progressive' can mean advocating progress, that can be a scientist.
'Liberal' means the person advocates liberty, hence the name 'liberal'
PC means that they don't want to offend people.
Just because sometimes people do 2-all 3 things together doesn't automatically mean they are the same.
