Default Bisexuality?

I'm a guy, and I, understandably, like women. Never been really in love or anything, but I sure as hell have had crushes.

Anyways, I'm curious: In my mind, it's "ok" to do things with guys, and it's just that... I'm "worried" as to the outcome, and mainly what others would think of me, but to the girls I know, I come off as... really "artsy/gay," so they wouldn't care/find it interesting.

It's just that, when I think about it, it's not really a case of me particularly liking other guys, but more a case that... if I "fell into " some kind of one night stand, I "wouldn't mind" it, y'know?

I agree with Hexadecimal, you're not bisexual. You'll know you're bisexual when you've had crushes, or more than crushes, on both men and women.

So I won't ever have a crush on a guy?

I mean, I feel like I'm on an egde, like "so close" to being able to appreciate the affection that I could have for a guy.

And I've gone farther with a guy than with a girl, to be frank, but I don't "know" whether or not I liked him or not.

I don’t know. I’m just saying you’ll know you’re bisexual if you have crushes, or more than crushes, on both men and women (but it doesn't have to be equal). lol, it's very hard to explain for me because I've always been bisexual, I just know I am like someone knows they're heterosexual or homosexual.

It seems to me like you're forcing emotion too. But it can’t be forced, emotion can never be forced. I still agree with Hexadecimal.

Basically if your bi you will know. I am and openly too, if you are its nothing to be ashamed of either. Its just when you have feelings for guys and girls, its not easy to explain but you will know. Just relax.

If you don't mind me asking, how did your parents react when they found out? I haven't told anyone I know in person because of a few bad experiences when younger and my mum being rather homophobic.

Well when they found out, I didnt actually tell them ,they asked me about it while I was with my brother his fiance and all that. My mum kinda doesnt belive I am or something, but my brother and friend and stuff tried to help explain it, she claims she is ok with but sometimes you can tell she isnt. Like one time when we got into a fight she told me that i wasnt bi, of course how could I be so stupid?
Anyways she doesnt love me less because of it, she cant really understand but is willing to accept it, I dont think my dad knows because I dont live with him.
Just tell them, no matter what they say your not going to change and they are your parents, they shouldnt love you any less, it might take a while for them to understand if they're homophobic but they are going to have to come to terms with it sooner or later.

The way I see it, the only time you open up about your bisexuality to your family is if you have a significant other that's the opposite sex and it's getting really serious, like a year or two down the line. Other than that they don't need to know, it's your own private buisness and if you're like 12-20 and you go out of the way to "come out" as bisexual to your parents and friends you aren't really bisexual you're an attention whore. I'm bi but I have chosen a heterosexual relationship which will last the rest of my life, so it's a moot point for me, though I would have no problems telling my parents if I had too and they have told me that they would accept any man or woman I brought home and I haven't even told them i'm bi.

You just sound curious, and its actually nice to see a guy that isn't freaking out about having these types of experiences and thoughts.

How old are you?

If you find that you are developing a more emotional attactment to males, rather then just the physical, would that be such a bad thing?

On the other hand I know males that consider themselves bi, but they prefer to have only have relationships with women, and the men is just a sex thing (much the same as how I am, I could never have a relationship with a female but I'm up for anything else with a female as long as its casual!).

Oh and artsy guys = hawt.

I thought i was bisexual once, untill i realised i'm actually gay and was trying to 'tell' myself i like girls.

I still tell people i'm bisexual though. Even though i have never had a relationship with a girl. People seem to accept it better if you're 'half normal' as i have been described before.

So i keep most of my boyfriends secret from everyone. And as such people assume that i'm one of those people who just doesn't have relationships.

Sounds to me like you're bicurious with a healthy attitude towards it. If people have a problem with it, it's just that; their problem, not yours.

Frankly, I've always felt that all of this "oh, if you X you MUST BE Y. UNTIL DEATH." Among pretty much all other animals with a sex drive that extends beyond procreation, there isn't a concept of gay/straight/bi/etc., there's just sex. Humans have this whole "omg im gay so i cna't EVER lyke teh girls" and vice versa because of conditioning. There was a post earlier by someone in another thread I found insightful about how having that preference just means that maybe 9 times out of 10 or 9.9 times out of 10 you'll be attracted to X, but there's always that other time.

I'd be very curious if there were any instances of people without this conditioning towards fixed gender attraction, and how that would end up.

(In a more direct response to OP, don't worry about labels, just do what feels right.)

Yeah... it's kind of hard hearing your mother go on about homosexuals being perverted and sick while you sit there, feeling like if she knew she'd hate your guts. The reason I would want to tell her would be so she accepts me for who I am, but I haven't told her because I don't think it would go so well... anyways, I've never understood "coming out parties" either. I can understand telling family, so they don't find out from someone else, which would probably hurt them, but having a party just strikes me as odd; so does telling everyone you meet without being asked first. I can't imagine many people doing that though.

In ancient Greece people weren't labeled by their sexuality; only sex acts were labeled. The term "homosexual" was really invented in the 19th century, and therefore so was it's opposite: "heterosexual".

I like to use the Bible as an example for this, although I'm not a Christian. The Bible doesn't say being a homosexual is evil, it says "man shall not lay with man". Why? Not because of the Christian interpretation of "hate the sin, not the sinner", but because there wasn't a term back then for homosexuality and that's the closest they had. I honestly think that if it were written nowadays, the Bible would be incredibly homophobic, as the anti-sodomy propaganda "Sodom and Gomorrah" testifies.

Anyways, I've always hated labels because I feel that for the most part, they're used for reasons that are not positive, they're used for dividing people, oppressing people, controlling people and ostracizing people. But if I had to use a title, I would say "bisexual" is incredibly accurate for me since I have had, and get, feelings for both sexes that is more than just lust, that I would call a crush or love... anyways, this has gone incredibly off topic.

You might just be going through a phase. Don't worry about if, if you're bi you're bi, if you're straight you're straight, not much you can do about it. Not really a big deal, just keep on livin and suck some cocks and eat out a few pussies on the way.

I have to agree with the majority of people here, but especially Here_Geist. I mysel dont really label me. Ok i use a lebel when people ask, and predominantly i say stright just for the ease of it, but i like and fall for both guys and girls, and im comfortable with ti. The few people who know are also fine with it. Others i just dont bother telling, they either assume it or just think im straight.

As for my parents, as i have never brought a guy/girl home, i constantly get asked if im gay/straight, whatever and i just simply feign ignorance. I know that theyd be happy whoever i brought home though, so i dont worry bout it.

A blow job will feel good whether it's a guy or a girl giving it. It's up to you to figure out which sex you are actually attracted to. And by the sounds of it, you're just bicurious, which I think everyone goes through at one point or another.

I don't have any sources, but all the studies I've read about say that hardly anyone is truly bisexual. So if someone tells me they're bisexual, I don't believe them. When a guy says it, it usually means he's gay but doesn't want to admit it. Every single guy who has told me he is bisexual has ended up exclusively homosexual. When a girl says it, it's because of all the attention she gets when she kisses another girl at the bar...Roll Eyes (Sarcastic)

I'm not saying it's impossible to be bisexual, but I think it's very rare.

Naw, don't let it bother you. You would know if you were gay. To me, bisexuality means that as well as being physical with both sexes, you should be willing to have a romantic relationship with both sexes as well. So unless you can see yourself falling in love with, living with, and sucking another man's dick, I wouldn't say you were bisexual. I can get drunk and kiss another girl (and enjoy it, lol), but the thought of eating a girl out sickens me, and I'm just not interested in romantic relationships with other girls. There's a difference between experimenting with your sexuality (and that seems to be what you're doing) and actually being bisexual.

Also, like everyone's been saying, it really doesn't matter. All that matters is that you are comfortable with yourself, and fuck anyone who's going to judge you based on what you do in your bedroom.

Edit - Sorry, I thought you were the OP. Looks like you might be bisexual after all, lol.

Well I have no problem with my bisexuality, I really do not have a preference Its all about the individual.

At the moment I am more into women than men, but that could change if the right guy came along, sex is just sex is just sex. Its a physical act that really means nothing. I've never been "in love" with anyone, nor at this moment in time do I want to be.

I am niether dominant or subserviant and have no interest in gay issues, I am just me! If someone gives me pleasure to be with, what the fuck does their gender matter!

Don't get wrapped up in all the crap society lays on you , be yourself and just enjoy the ride.

Me too. And also, I seem to be with women more than men. That's only because most men here are straight, or that the bi/gay ones aren't open about it.

Right now I have a pending bf...he's just waiting for my busy schedule to end so we can have a good start. He thinks I'm cute...and that made me laugh, silently.

Don't forget you can also be bi just on the sex side and not be attracted to that sex as someone to have as spouse or boyfriend/girlfriend. Sexuality can be very fluid or very conservative... and shit if it turns out in the end that you where wrong just say you where experimenting in college. I wouldn't worry about it, the less drama the better.
