My girl insists that i talk to her everynight untill she falls asleep and atleast a couple of phone calls during the day. I am a very busy person and this is just to much. Yes i will call her if im going to see her or there is something IMPORTANT to talk about but i dont see the point of calling her if there is no reason too.........she gets highly upset if i dont call her, but there usually is nothing to talk about............anyone else have this problem.......im trying to get drunk with my friends yet every night i have to spend like 3 hours on the phone.

hey, atleast you have a female that wants to talk and get to know you, i just have a bottle of xanax and painkillers. But i feel better on that shit than i ever would with a female!

i don't mind if my girl calls wanting to talk, but im pretty fuckin busy as well so i just keep it short. honestly if you have other shit to do she needs to understand that you can't devote that much time on the phone talking about nothing. most of the time when im out getting fucked up it's just a better idea to not pick up rather than having a lame 30 minute conversation about nothing.

Spending hours on the phone with girlfriends is such bullshit. In my experience they just want as much of your time as they can possibly get. At first its on the phone, then they need to see you all the time in person, then they insist on moving in and invading the only space you can call your own. If your girlfriend needs to spend hours on the phone, thats what her girlfriends are for. Their are few things I insist on in a relationship but hoarding all my time just for them is just selfish. I see far too many women becoming complete attention whores and cant stand being away from their men. A relationship involves 2 people with 2 lives, why can't it stay this way. I can understand it after marriage, but every single girl i've been with insists on amalgamating our lives far too quickly.

I'm not a big phone person, so wouldnt expect my boyfriend to call every night... what the fuck can you say over the phone 3 times a day for that length of time? She needs to understand you need time to yourself and to be with your mates too. Is she quite insecure? That she'd need to know what you're doing the whole time?

I fucking love talking to my girlfriend on the phone, unless shes almost passed out and grunting at things I say. Otherwise, its great, because, we actually talk about things. :D

Well here's a completely different POV.

My girlfriend and I are together pretty much constantly. When Im at work or she's at work (we work conflicting shifts) is pretty much the only time we spend apart.

During the time we're working, we send text messages back and forth on a regular basis. We are each others lives.

My best mate started going with his girl a month after I started going with mine, and although he cant spend as much time with his girl (mine sleeps with me every night) he is pretty much the same. When we're hangin' out, we're both constantly stuck with our phones in hand, attempting conversation inbetween.

So our relationships maybe dont compare to yours, but your girl doesnt necessarily see it like that. Maybe she's thinking about you 100x more than you're thinking about her. This is why she wants you to talk to her constantly, until she's sleeping. It's cos she's not sleeping in your arms.
