Well I'm not a hardcore gamer who's in the gaming trend. Any good games that will run smoothly on my system.

nvidia fx5500 256mb 128bit
winxp sp2

And some old monitor (max 1024*768, 60Hz) so I'm gonna play the games at 800*600 if possible because of the low refresh rate at 1024*768.

I'm currently playing prince of persia sands of time. Game runs fine.

Wizardry 8's a pretty kick-ass game if you're into old-school dungeon crawlers.

If you're not, then I guess it'd suck.

Warcraft III would run ok on that.
Generally kind of 2002/3 games and earlier should be good. And obv. Snes X or whatever.

I have the same machine and i run battlefield 2, cs source, stalker, of course not on high, but graphics don't mean anything.

ADOM if you're into rougelikes.

i believe what you were trying to say was graphics dont mean everything. we can all agree that graphics on a higher setting always make the experience more enjoyable.

Yeah true i guess, i just hate idiots who play video games for the graphics, look at all the games with shit graphics that are better than most games today, diablo 2, starcraft for example.
