Singleness
Yeah it's pretty sweet, this being single thing I have going. I dunno if it will last though. I know I like relationships, having somone to talk to and all that, someone to lay in bed with on a lazy Sunday, but I don't want it.
Looking at my brother, who is 2 years older than me, when his girl moved to Canberra, they broke up after a couple weeks (2.5 year relationship). I could tell that shit is messing with him, especially when she is back here.
I don't want a relationship becasue:
1: I am moving to anywhere that I can get a gunsmithing apprenticeship at, there are 3 people with gunsmith licences in my state, so I am pretty sure I am relocating in 8 months or so.
2: Can't be fucked. Seriously, relationships can be alot of work sometimes, and yeah, see first sentence.
3: The only girl I am interested in dosen't like relationships, but I don't reckon she would be up for some casual hooking up and what not either, which fucking sucks.
My problem is I know that if someone presents themselves, or shows an interest in me, then I will probably persue them, becuase I like relationships, even if I keep telling myself I don't need/want one, I am 17 FFS.
Oh, the other problem: I like sex, it nice. I don't know anyone who I could/would have a casual relationship with, hence shant be getting any.
Basically I need some advice:
If somone comes along who is interested, how do I make sure I don't get in too deep without seeming like a distant arsehole? I don't want to stop talking to girls or whatever, but I can't get myself into anything.
Or am I completely wrong? My mate keeps telling me to go with the flow, but I fucking overthink things all the time. I psycho-analyse myself on a regular basis.
What would you all do in a situation like this?
