So today I was sitting with a friend who is kind of close, I dont hang out with too many of the people he does but I'm cool with him. He asks me what I was doing tomorrow for the Sadie Hawkins dance, and I tell him I didn't think I was gonna go, but then he says he knows a girl that isn't going with anyone, but has a ticket and told me to meet him somewhere after school to meet her. So I meet him and see her, said hi and talked a little bit and it seemed like we got along well enough. She had to go to catch her bus pretty soon though, so we didn't get to know each other that well at all. She gave me her number, and the friend who introduced us gave me his. He told me to call him after school, and I did. This girl seems like she is real nice, and is pretty cute so I told him I thought I was going to go with her. He says cool, and since I was going to go to his volleyball game tonight we could talk there.

My problem is that we don't know each other that well, and I am going over to her house tomorrow to hang out with the person who introduced us and his girl. This seems like it would be extremely awkward, and discussion wouldn't flow that naturally, but I guess it will be nice that we have other people with us. Another problem will be what we are wearing, but ill call her tonight and find out what it looks like. This will be my first high school dance I have been to, do you guys have any suggestions for me? I know one problem will be that I can't dance that well, but hopefully everything will turn out alright. Tips/comments would be really helpful right now.

Leave and get to know her, treat it like any other first date. Ask her about herself and provoke discussion about each others interests as much as possible.
